As most people know, the relationship between Severus Snape and Lily Evans is something pretty much historical. The relationship between James Potter and Lily Evans is something devastatingly beautiful. And then there's the relationship between James Potter and Severus Snape which is harsh and cruel. What people don't know is the brilliantly romantic relationship between Severus and Lily and the harsh points of the relationship between James and Lily. So, here comes the big love triangle.

Lily is heartbroken for losing her best friend. Is there a way she can work it out though? She's dating James Potter and it's something the entire school knows about. Is Lily spending less time in the library and more time sneaking around with Severus though? Lily Evans is giving Severus Snape one more chance and they desperately want something to work out. It starts out with a secret friendship. The two just want to mend what was broken. It's all secret fun and games until Lily makes the move. What is she doing! That's right ladies and gentlemen, Lily Evans kisses Severus Snape while she's still dating James Potter!

What happens next? Well, the two have a little bit of embarrassed drifting. Lily doesn't want to admit how badly she's messed things up. Severus doesn't want to admit how much he really loves her. Both are placed in a horrid position in result. But hwo long can they stay away?

It doesn't take long. At the Yule Ball, Lily has a fight with James. She runs off and hides away in the astronomy tower and who happens to be there? Severus and Lily used to always hide out up there to just escape life through their early years of Hogwarts. Things get messy though. Sev is the one to pick up all her many pieces. He heals her with love, but only adds to the greater complication.

They keep a very hidden romance going until the day someone finds out. Serenity Faywood is one of Lily's dearest friends. When she sees Lily kissing Severus on the grounds one night, she doesn't know what to say or do. She knows it's wrong so, she tells Lily what she saw. Instead of lying and covering it up, Lily admits to how guilty she feels. Serenity convinces her to break things off with Severus.

The romance is shattered by guilt and secrecy revealed. A few days before the romance is ended, a certain Bellatrix Black spots Severus and Lily together. Just before all is broken off, Bella sends a few lines to the Hogwarts bulletin board. Lily lies to James for the first time and tells him it's just a stupid rumor. He believes her, but the pressure is on even more to stay away from Severus. Now Lily really has lost him forever. Now things hurt even worse as well.
