Serenity walked along the grass which was because of the giant squid who splashed the water of the lake with it's long tentacles. She always found the giant squid amusing to watch but now because of it she couldn't sit on the grass or the wet rocks. She sighed, she took off her light blue hoodie to reveal a white tank top with some frills at the bottom of it. She laid her hoodie on the grass, she really regretted it since she doesn't want it wet, but she had no choice. She sat down on her hoodie her legs stretched out and crossed and her hands on the cold grass. She was smiling at the squid who was playing along on what seemed like very warm water. Lately she was in a very pleasant mood because of the warm weather that's been going all week, the lake was unusually empty though, she wondered the students got a lot of homework or at least something similar. Her mind wondered elsewhere after that first she thought of going back to the common room and focus on homework herself and felt as if a devil was on one side of her should and and angel on the other. But now she agreed with the devil and decided to do the homework later since it wasn't that much. And then her mind tracked off to what was her mom doing at the ministry right this moment and wondered if her mom wondered the same about her right now too. She then wondered on where rest of her family might be, she never knew about them and her mom not once, not even a hint, talked about her dad or her cousins or siblings if she had them of course. Everything was pretty much a mystery to her and only for her to solve, of course unless a person recognized her last name and said, "Oh I know your family!" Then she would ask about her family, but the chances of that happening was unlikely but then again she wouldn't know if her family had any friends.
She continued to look at the squid playing, she started thinking of drawing the scenery she saw with her own two eyes. Just thinking of drawing this made her feel excited and at once her fingers urged to grab her wand from the pocket of her jeans. She couldn't resist it and grabbed her willow wand. She muttered, "accio pencil and Serenity's artbook", it took a bit of a while to get those two supplies onto her lap, but as soon as she had received them she opened her art book to what seemed the 300th paper. She drew the every detail of what she saw, the water that shined and glittered under the sun, the sun which was warming the scenary, the squid who brought fun into the picture and the plants which brought more detail in. She picked up her wand again, tapped the paper two times and in a millisecond the colors spread out all over the picture. Now it actually looked real, Serenity stared at it in amazement and signed her name at the bottom right corner of her now completed picture. She closed her art book and laid it on her lap, her hands were aching and it seemed like hours since she started drawing, and she was eager to know what time it was.

Luey exited the Gryffindor common room, her long blonde hair tied loosely in a pony tail and a pair of sunglasses over he brilliant blue eyes. Her attire was fairly nice, a bright pink shirt with a neon yellow belt and faded blue jeans. Luey wore this because she found it easier to pick out great color schemes when you wore bright colors during a shoot. In her hand was a rather large case, about the size of the top of a single school desk. It held a tripod, a camera and multiple lenses for different effects. Luey had recieved this as a start of the term present and hand't quit using it yet.
Luey proceeded to heavy her large case down the school floors, careful not to bump it into anything or drop it on the floor. When other students would ask what it was or help themselves she'd scream, 'I will smite you' loudly to frighten the person off. She finally managed the physically demanding task of hauling her case to the grounds and set it down with a loud groan. "Goodness that thing is heavy!" she whined, picking it up again and moving it towards the more scenic spots. Luey smiled as the lake called out to her. Removing the camera with the neck strap, she smiled and focused her lens. Feeling the picture was perfect, she snapped it. Well it was almost perfect. Aside from the person in it.

Serenity was enjoying the rest of the day lying on the now dry grass warmed up by the blazing sun. Except the sun that was there, was blocked by the grayish-white clouds. Serenity just lay there staring at the hunk of clouds gathering together, the perfectly good weather that was, now was slowly turning into a miserable one. She didn't mind if it was going to rain, it's just that she didn't feel like standing either. On the bright side, at least nature smells good under the rain. Though, almost always there is a dark side, she couldn't draw anything under the rain otherwise if the paper wouldn't get wet and all smudgy she would. Sighing at that reason she couldn't, Serenity started to make her way through the grass.
The tall grass brushed her leg as she walked and started to look down at the ground. Serenity didn't notice the figure before her and within what felt like minutes that turned into seconds, that figure she didn't notice just got bumped Serenity. She tumbled backwards and soon got her position upright again. Her hair now dirty with mud and tangled with grass, she looked at the person whom she stumbled upon. Luey Parker, Serenity has seen her walking about in the common room and dormitory and elsewhere before but never really talked to her that much. Serenity couldn't believe she had just bumped into her, it seemed all so fast to her, that she couldn't full get into her head what she has been doing before she accidently did that event. Maybe destiny wanted Serenity to finally talk to Luey? She didn't know, for all she knew is that she had to apologize, "Im so sorry! I didn't notice and I didn't mean to either!" Had she just said her sorry to loud? She couldn't tell.

Luey grimaced. She couldn't for the life of her cut this girl out of the pictures. Someone how she always managed to be in them. Finally, coming to terms with the fact the girl would be in the picture, she began taking pictures as if this girl was purposely put there. Her slim silhoutte was almost ghostly and appeared to give a darker and more mystical quality to the photos. It was amazing considering Luey wasn't big on human subjects. She was big on still life and nature.
Her vivid blue eyes traveled down to her camera, watching the taken pictures flick across the screen. They were really nice.Very professional looking at the least. She stared down at her camera hard and in intense thought when she was thrown of balance by some unknown force. Flying backwards, her camera flew from her hand. Please don't break. she prayed. It was extremely expensive and was the best one she had. Luey crawled towards it, seeing the shattered screen. She pursed her lips and look at the cause of the incident. It was another Gryffindor student, Serenity. "It's fine, really. Don't worry." she smiled, even though her primal instincts were telling her to rip the girl apart.
Luey hauled herself from the ground, brushing the debris out of her hair and clothing. Well this was uncomfortable and awkward.

Serenity looked at the stuff that the girl had with her with curiosity. And by the equipment, she can tell Luey was all about photography. Upon realizing of what has happened to her camera, there was a slight gasp coming from Serenity's mouth and her face struck with woe. She bit her lip, and glanced at Luey's now broken camera, Serenity had knew it, she should have watched where she was going but instead Serenity had never in her life followed that rule even when she wanted to. She choked on her own words as she said this, "I, um... I'm sorry about your camera, I really am. I should have at least looked where I was headed for. Was it expensive? I'll try to find you a new one if you wish." There was a huge feeling of regret in her own heart. For if she had at least glanced from the ground to the scene in front of her, none of this would have happened, and her day would proceed to being normal. And the gryffindor girl in front of her, would have never developed this problem.
She had sighed but very quiet so Luey couldn't hear, for she didn't want any conflicts to happen. Serenity had sat on the ground with her legs crossed and started picking the grass out of her tangled hair. Now there was something for Slytherins to make fun on if they happened to meet her on the way, which is why she started doing this silly task. Serenity knew it would have been easier with her wand, but instead she was a muggle using no wand at all. Now she knew how hard it must be for people who have no clue that magic itself even exists in this world. Now wondering if Lily had to suffer like this when she was little living a different life. She sighed, for whatever she thought out of now, nothing could change the topic in her heart of the accidental incident.

Luey gave Serenity a kind smile. "Don't worry about it. It wasn't expensive at all. I'll just buy a new one." Luey lied. Luey was an incredibly sweet and forgiving girl and wasn't going to let Serenity run herself ragged over some materialistic possesion. The important thing was that no one was seriously hurt, cameras could be replaced. Luey gave Serenity a pat on the back and sat next to her.
"What brings you out here?" she asked, packing her equipment away. Small misfortunes shouldn't keep you from making friends right?

Serenity's worried expression faded away and transformed into a smile for Luey. The pressure that was in her chest had healed and had been replaced with the feeling of relief and was glad, for this girl who was beside her have been ever so sweet, and yet Serenity had barely had even known her as Luey had barely even known Serenity. Who knows maybe destiny wanted Serenity to make friends with Luey? Then so be it. Just one thing for sure, at least they weren't rivals. And another thing, at least her camera wasn't expensive, or so she hoped, but by the sound of Luey's voice, it was sure trusting. Serenity couldn't help but wonder, if Luey was a Slytherin, would she act differently, she doesn't know for fate didn't want Luey to be a Slytherin, which meant she was kind and courageous. And by her personality and appearance she sure is. But really what are the odds of bumping into a person and making friends with that person?
Sighing of another relief, she was almost done picking the grass out of her now brighter hair. As soon as she had heard Luey ask a question, Serenity's answer was spoken, "Oh, well there are actually a lot of reasons why. Firstly I wanted to go outside to breathe in all the fresh air and relax, secondly it was just fun watching that squid entertaining itself. And then I just realized the scenery was so nice that I should draw a picture of what I see. And im guessing you wanted to take a picture of this beautiful day too? Oh, and as for your case for your equipment im guessing you had a hard time with it? It would have been easier if you summoned it." She glanced at the huge case before her and a laughed teasingly.

"It is beautiful out today, huh? I couldn't help but want to take a few shots." Luey gave a warm smile and content sigh. The day was really quite nice. The bright, yellow sun, the striking, green grass and beautiful, clear, blue sky. It was like those days in the movies.
Luey laughed and rubbed the back of her neck. "You know, I never thought of that." she smiled cheesily and waved it off. It had never really crossed her mind. Even if she did grow up with magic her parents still encouraged her to act like a muggle so she could blend in if it was needed. Now she was all about manual labor. How lame is that?
"I guess my parents are getting to me." she smiled, standing up and stretching. "It's about dinner time. Wanna walk to the Great hall together?" she asked, offering Serenity a hand.

"Yeah it's surprising nobody is out here except you and me. So im just guessing almost everyone at hogwarts got something to do of their own." Serenity replied of something of her own. But it was true the students were missing out an incredible day and may not see this lovely weather for a long time to come. Unless they hibernate, Serenity joked inside her head. She had wondered if she had shown any expressions on her face while she thought. But that didn't matter, she knew she was safe right now. Everything today had been amazing, no slytherins to bump into right now, a beautiful day, a new friend. Though it has been too perfect, something might bound to happen, something not good, other then the fact she already broke a camera.
Suddenly Serenity laughed teasingly at the little remark Luey had made, "Well what do you know-." For she had laughed so hard she couldn't finish her sentence. But stopped with a sigh and feeling that somebody had just threw rocks down the pit of her stomach while she was laughing. "Heh, sorry. It is a bit funny though. Your parents are getting to you, what on earth does that mean? They pretend to be muggles?" She stared at her wonderingly. As she took Luey's hand and helped raise herself up a little. "Yum, dinner, I could use some food, the fresh air is making me hungry." And indeed was she hungry for her stomach growled at her for not eating in a while.
OOC: Shall we continue this in the Great Hall? [/center]
