Emmeline Vance
OOC;; Alias: Stella Age: 16 Year of RPing: 3 very amazing years How You Found Marauding Mysteries: ad on another site Role-Play Sample:
I am nothing now and it's been so long Since I've heard the sound, the sound of my only hope
On this day, years ago, a beautiful, blue-eyed, blonde women, clutched her chest, said her last words, and passed to another world beyond the clouds. Or that's what Dorcas liked to believe, anyway.
In her opinion, this day was cursed; this horrible, terrible day was the reason for most of her misery. Usually, she spent it holed up in her dorm room; no matter if it was a day of the week or not. Her teachers had learnt to expect it; and professor Flitwick, who had always liked her quite a bit, decided to send up the day's class work a day before. Every year she cursed herself for being so melodramatic, but, as it seems, it was just a genetic trait she had inherited from her father. Although he was a cheery man when she was around, she knew he spent the rest of the year crawled into a ball in his own bed; unsure of what to do with himself. He was a potion maker, and invented potions for a living. Her father had luckily been very successful in his first years of potionmaking, and thanks to his inheritance, he never had to work again.Comes in handy now, doesn’t it? Dorcas thought bitterly.
Dorcas couldn't judge him though; for she still mourned this day just as sadly as when it had happened. She pulled a hand through her messy, usually straight hair and tried to wipe off the makeup residue on her face with no luck. It felt strange being a wreck; she was so well put together usually. Her only hope was that she didn't look fragile; the last thing she wanted was someone asking her what's wrong.
As the days came closer and closer to this fateful day; Dorcas came to another conclusion. Now that she was 17, there was nothing that would stop her from getting piss drunk on this day and forget her mother’s death.
For a moment, she stood outside of the three broomsticks and took a deep breath. The smart part of her, the Ravenclaw part, told her not to do it, that there was a better way to solve her problems. But Dorcas wasn’t the goodie two shoes Ravenclaw, and every other part of her was screaming “DO IT, DO IT!”
With another deep breath, she pushed the door to The Three Broomsticks open, and took in the sight. The cheerful Christmas decorations crowded the place, and depressed her even more. All the tables were covered in Christmas garland and table cloths, and she took the first empty table of two near the bar, ripping off the garland before she sat down. Dorcas wave her hand in the air, and ordered her first drink and told the barmaid to keep them coming. It was like her to toast, so instead of breaking tradition, she bitterly muttered "To happy people!" and then gulped her first, but definitely not her last.
The first drink made Dorcas hiccup uncontrollably, it hadn't been the first time she was drinking and it was sure that she could hold her liquor; but for some reason tears and alcohol didn't mix. Her salty tears mixed with the liquor gave her a stale taste in her mouth and made her gag slightly. Aside from that, her hiccups hadn't even begun to subside when someone cleared their throat, forcing her to snap her head up. Usually she would be friendly in a situation like this where the three broomsticks was full and someone would need a seat, but what she wanted right now wasn't company; she wanted someone to drink with her. So before Dorcas went back to her second drink that had magically appeared onto her table, and downed it in one gulp, she pushed her third drink over to the newcomer silently. Her fourth drink made her shut her eyes because it burned the back of her throat, so she was not yet aware as to if her visitor had taken the drink. Dorcas did not make conversation; she was pretty sure her words would be slurred. Her visitor could most likely smell the intensity of her drinks from their seat. Silently, she slid another one to them.
As cliché as it was, Dorcas now knew why misery loved company.
*sorry it’s so short; couldn’t find one I liked
Basics;; Full Name: Emmeline Vance Nickname: Emme, emmers, Vance Age: 17 Year: 7th year House: Ravenclaw Gender: Female Blood Status: half blood Martial Status: Not sure? but definitely not married Orientation: straight Occupation: student
Personality;; Likes: • bubble gum • stink bombs • music, especially singing • the thrill of almost being caught • eye makeup • troublesome boys • playing innocent
Dislikes: • failing tests [ hey, she’s a Ravenclaw, even though she doesn’t show it ] • getting points knocked off her house; she doesn’t mind detention • bullies, who pick on people smaller than them • not being included in pranks
Fears: • being forgotten • being eaten by a giant frog[ a dream she once had as a child ]
Hobbies: • singing • pranking and plotting • kissing [ yes, it’s one of her hobbies! ] • reading [ but only in the library on her free time ]
Goals: • go down in Hogwarts History • become an Auror
General Personality Description: Emmeline, although quite the girly girl with her makeup and clothes, is boy in spirit. She would much rather hang out with the guys, than paint her toenails and gossip with the girls.
Although she is intelligent and does well in school, Emme is also a prankster at heart, earning her more than a few detentions weekly. Her head of house once called her grades her “insurance”, and told her if her grades were ever to drop, the punishment for the trouble she caused would be much more severe.
Otherwise, she’s very loud but sarcastic, and loves to be called trouble, because that’s just what she is. There was a time that she was also described as “sly”, but Emme didn’t like that quality, as it also a Slytherin characteristic, so she would confront anyone who called her that in a very fiery manner. Did I yet mention she has a temper just as bad as a redhead’s? She’s a very passionate person when it comes down to it; she loves to sing and loves to plot, they are just things that make her who she is.
Appearance;; Celebrity: Katy Perry Picture: Appearance Description: Body: Emmeline isn’t model tall, or model thin, she’s average height, and considers her hips too big for her liking. Most girls have an issue with their weight, but, although Emmeline thinks her hips could do with a nice shrinking spell, she would do nothing about them and doesn’t wallow on the subject of her insecurity of them. All in all, Emmeline has an hour-glass shape to her.
Eyes: Her eyes however, she has no objection about. They can very well be described as cat like eyes, because of their shape. Emmeline's eyes are a powder blue color that fits well with the very pale aspect of her skin, and when narrowed to slits, seem quite intimidating.
Face: As said before, Emme has a very pale complexion and very clear skin. She attributes her clear skin to the fact she has never used any products on her face. The only make up Emmeline loves to wear is eye shadow to make her eyes pop. Other than that, she could consider her face very well proportioned; her nose isn’t too big for her face, and her lips are just full enough.
Hair: Emme's dark brown hair is short, in her opinion. She once made the mistake of cutting her hair up to her chin, and regretted it soon after, since her hair does not grow fast whatsoever. It is now shoulder length, and in layers to frame her face.
Style: Although she may act like a boy sometimes, she certainly doesn't look like one. Emmeline likes wearing mini dresses for occasions, but is usually seen in pale colors to match her pale skin.
Emmeline has never considered herself shockingly beautiful but she hadn’t considered herself an ogre either. She believes her beauty to be subjective.
History;; Family: Mother: Evelyn Vance Father: Rupert Vance Brother: Jesse Vance
Pets: an owl named Stardust Relatives: ... Birthplace: London, England History: On the day of Emme’s birth, every little thing went terribly wrong. In a moment of blind panic, her father forgot her mother at home and went to the hospital by himself. Once he had finally come back to get her, their car broke down while her mother was giving birth ( she couldn’t travel by floo powder, it might of been dangerous for the baby). Finally, a friendly man stopped, and luckily enough it was a wizard, who drove them to St.Mungos quickly. And from then on strange things happened on her birthday.
On her 5th birthday, while all her friends tried to beat the piñata, she demonstrated that she was in fact a witch, and made the piñata explode when it wouldn’t break after her turn.
Emmeline, although knowing about her heritage since both her parents were magical, spent a lot of time in the muggle world, with muggle children. Sometimes she’d show them magic tricks or play tricks on them, unaware that this wasn’t allowed, and would sometimes get told off by her mother for it.
Finally, at 11, she received her letter from Hogwarts, and took off to “learn more than just magic tricks”, as her mother had once put it, shaking her head. Oh how she was wrong... well not yet.
In her first and second year, she was the quietest person in her entire grade; they couldn’t get a word out of her unless it was forced out by a teacher. This was because of Emmeline’s fear of rejection. She had always been special amongst her school friends because she was different from them. Now that she was in a school full of people who could do magic; she felt as though she had nothing to offer. She soon got over this fear, once she realized everything special about herself and once she couldn’t keep quiet anymore.
In her third year, she finally trampled hard on Sirius Black’s foot “accidentally” when he pushed past her rudely. This started a whole new realm of exploration for Emmeline. Soon, she found she loved the rush of a well thought out plan, and the laughs accompanied with a successful prank.
Her plotting continued throughout her years, and her trouble making was something she enjoyed very much. Her mother didn’t approve at all; but her father, who was muggleborn, and was foolish with magic as a young boy, secretly gave her tips on how to improve her pranks.
Her love life isn't all that interesting. Being one of the boys makes it hard to be one of the boy's girlfriends. That's until someone special, of course. He's the person she had least expected to see her as an actual girl.
Other;; What do you think of the site?: I like it very much, such genius, combining twilight and harry potter! Do you play more than one character?: No but I‘d like to adopt another characater very soon. Any other information: Tis is all!
