So the library was where Remus was originally intending to go. It wasn't like him too leave homework undone. Call him a nerd, but that was just his nature. Afterall, he wasn't even supposed to be at Hogwarts, and he couldn't afford to show any such missteps. He did enough of those with the Mauraders without having to add too it with not finishing homework that was assigned. He owed everything to Professor Dumbledore for letting him come to Hogwarts, conditions and all, and he felt it would be disrespectful not to at the very least, get some good marks while he was here. Though it wouldn't make much of a difference really on whether or not he got a job afterschool. Once employers knew of his situation, they really wouldn't care less if he got top marks in Charms or whatever. They would only care about how fast they could get Remus too leave without "angering it".
But no, he wasn't about to get irritated all over again of that. He had gotten past that little phase very early on. Now he was wary really. Sick and tired of the judgements. This was why he would keep his issues to himself. That way, he wouldn't get stuck with the idiot remarks or accusations that would no doubt follow him if the school were ever too find out. Somehow, when the Mauraders had found out, they hadn't been so judgemental however. It had given him some hope. But Kyndrick..she couldn't know. Remus wasn't so ready for that one yet.
The full moon being only four days before, Remus had just begun feeling well enough to return to society. New scratches and scars from the previous nights had formed themselves throughout Remus' entire body. His body ached, and he was dead tired. But he couldn't sleep. His usually dark bags underneath his eyes were more pronounced as he dragged himself through the corridors this Saturday afternoon. He would finish his homework, and than he could try to sleep again. Try being the key word.

Aericka Walked silently through the corridors. She was wearing her innocent facade. Carrying her books hugged tight to her chest looking down as she shuffled along carelessly. Yet all the while inside she was formulating a new prank. She had very recently gotten another beating and she was wearing her collar popped up to hide finger marks on her neck. She wondered when she would have enough courage to leave that beast.
Aerie casually glanced up smiling sweetly at a passing professor before turning her gaze to the sky which was clearly visible through the arched windows. She in fact was on her way to the library as unusual as that is for this pranktress. She needed to find the perma-stick charm in a book. Aerie turned the corner and while her gaze was not where it should have been she walked straight into someone. She clumisly fell to the floor and her book made an echoing crash in the near empty hallway. "I'm so sorry" she said softly as she frantically picked up papers as they fluttered to the floor.

Lost in his thoughts of homework, and exahustion, Remus wandered through the hallways. What with his obviously sleepless state, it was safe to say he was pretty much there only in body, and not completely in mind. Wouldn't it just be nice to just rest his head on the wall, and sleep? And forget about all his many problems. But sleep didn't do much of the forgetting for him. Remus dreamt mainly of running around the old shalk, growling, throwing himself at the walls, trying to escape, but he never could. But then again, those weren't always dreams, and rather, reality.
Remus had not seen, but instead felt the impact which sent him stumbling backwards. No, he wasn't angry that he'd been bumped into. Not really. More surprised then all. Remus wasn't the type to get angry over simple matters like that. Of course, it was different had he been in his other form, but he was generally a quiet guy. Looking up now that he had been snapped out of his memories, he spotted the source. A fellow gryfindor, and she was in his year. Remus could remember her from his previous classes over the years. Aericka Thorne.
He heard her apology, and, after a couple seconds of just staring at her as he took in the fact that she was the one to bump into him, shook his head and bent down to help her. 'No. My fault really.' He murmured in his quiet voice. 'I wasn't watching where I was going..' He added, taking a few steps forward as he chased a stray paper.

Aericka stood up with her papers back in her book and smiled recognizing the person she had bumped into. "Oh, Hey Remus" She said politely. "I guess we're both at fault then. I wasn't paying attention either." she admitted shifting her weight to her other foot. He looked tired. Not just tired, He looked like he could fall asleep right then and there. Aericka never knew Remus to be a partier like James or Sirius that he hung around with so what could possibly cause those circles under his eyes?
"Did you have a late night?" she asked curiously tilting her head. "Rem you look positively drained. Do you ever sleep?" she knew she was usuing her motherly tone. Usually she would joke around about it but one, she had to keep up her innocent look in this open hallway and two, she really was concerned. She'd never seen Him looking like this.

Remus blinked at her, grimacing slightly when she asked about his sleep-deprived appearence. Was it that noticable? He couldn't remember really, after a quick check in the mirror upon getting up that morning, he hadn't exactly made sure his appearence was passable. Was it possible that she could see the scars aswell then? Despite his attempts at resisting, when he lost control, he sometimes found scratches and cuts on his face when he woke up the next morning. It was, let's just say irritating to say the least. He couldn't feel anything on his face other then the old ones, made before. Nothing new. On his face at least. That had to be good right? Yet, she could obviously see the dark circles beneath his eyes.
Going for the excuse he made everytime another curious person asked, he responded. Pulling his hair back, he shook his head. Adding a 'don't worry about it' sort of expression, he half-smiled. 'Yeah, I was studying pretty late' He said quietly. 'NEWTs this year and all..' He added before thinking of a new topic off of the top of his head so as to stop the questions he knew might continue. He handed her the papers he had picked up from the corridor floor. 'Where were you headed?'

"Oh. Well don't do that too much or you'll end up falling asleep during the actual exams" she smiled. She took the papers from him gently and stuck them in her book. "Thanks. Well, I was just on my way to the library to do some research on some things" she said casually. "Not really studying but reading things that I'm interested in." she noted. "Legends, Creatures, mostly the rare ones. I'm a complete nerd when it comes to the Vampire theories and things of the like. Full moons fangs thirsts for blood. I'm into those stories" she smiled and shook her head embarassed. "Sorry. I'm babbling again." she laughed. "What were you up to in your dream state?" she asked.

Remus gave a quick and small smile when she bought into his excuse. 'Yeah. Just pinch me if I fall asleep' He said. He didn't feel up to letting out his secret to her just yet. Heck, the only people he had told were the Mauraders and his parents. In fact, he hadn't even told the Mauraders, and rather, they'd just figured it out. He'd always told them that if they put half as much effort into their schoolwork as they so obviously had into observing Remus, they might actually pass all their classes. They never listened. He nodded his head at her when she answered his question without seeming to notice the quick change of subject.
Vampire Legends? Really? That was why she was going to the library? That was, cool. Personally, Remus wasn't really the biggest fan of legends of rare creatures. To be learning about all the monsters had never exactly intruged him. Perhaps this was why he'd never had much patience for his Care of Magical Creatures classes and had dropped it as soon as he could which was, unfortunately, not soon enough. That was really the one class Remus didn't like to be honest. Being a creature himself was bad enough, without having to learn about all the other ones.
She seemed a bit, embarrassed? After she had finished her explanation. Remus raised his eyebrows slightly, but when she spoke again and said she had been babbling, he merely shook his head. Oh, he hadn't even noticed she was talking a lot. Huh. Was he that out of it? 'No, it's fine really. I don't mind talking.' He said quietly, adding another one of his half-smiles and a shrug before answering her question. 'Actually, I was going to the library too. Want to join me?' He replied.
