Lucius walked into the noisy changing rooms wearing his Slytherin Quidditch robes and holding in his hand his own Clean Sweep broomstick. He cleared his throat loudly, drawing attention to himself. He smiled at the thirty or so Slytherins who had showed up to try out for his team. "Thank you all for coming. I should mention before we begin flying that first-years are not allowed on the team. At the moment I see none, but I want it to be known to any listening in that not even superb flying skills will get them on my team.
"As for the rest of you, let's hope you brought your best because I'm not going to go easy on you out there. Now let's do some flying." Lucius led the group out onto the pitch. He turned to face them all once again when he was standing beside a stack of brooms and a small case. "Those of you who do not have their own broom, please grab one of these school brooms now. Good. Now mount your brooms and let's see if you can hover, say, twenty feet off the ground." To demonstrate, Lucius mounted his own broom and began rising into the air to the desired height.
