It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
Aphrodite walked down the long corridor, lightly dragging her fingertips on the rough stone wall. Her brown eyes looked at the pictures on the wall, smiling at the pictures that waved to her. Some of the pictures just stared at her hair. She just softly laughed at their expression. It probably wasn't often that they saw girls with bright pink hair.
She glanced down at her clothes. She hated uniforms more than most things. Luckily these weren't too bad but they still stunk. She straightened out her skirt as she walked. Skinny jeans were better than plain old black skirts anyway. But what could she do? Nothing really but it was only for a little while more.
Her eyes spotted the door to classroom eleven. Someone had told her it was empty and there weren't any classes in there. What better places to hang out for a bit are their here? In her left hand she had a small fur ball but it was mostly known as Ate her siamese kitten. Following close to her heels was Erebus, her other cat. Yes they were both named after Greek gods, all her pets were. She'd always loved Greek mythology. It had always been so interesting to her, but she wasn't sure why. Maybe because she was named after a Greek goddess.
Aphrodite stopped in front of the door of the empty classroom. She looked both ways, making sure no one was around. She wasn't quite sure she was really suppose to be going in here but she really didn't care. She quietly walked in the room. She looked around but didn't see anyone. Ate was crying so she couldn't hear anyway either. She closed the door after Erebus trotted in. She set the small fur ball on the ground. She waddled to Erebus, her tail sticking up straight. Aphrodite giggled lightly at the kitten as she pounced on the big cat.
She walked over to the a stone stair case leading up to an office, she guessed. She sat down on one of the higher steps. The stone was cold against the uncovered skin on her legs. She didn't mind much and tried to ignore it. She set the backpack she'd been carrying on the step below the one she was sitting on. She unzipped it and pulled out her lime green laptop. It was brand new and this was the first time she'd gotten a chance to use it. Well actually it wasn't really a chance, it was more like her skipping a class because she didn't feel like going and getting out her new laptop. Hopefully no teachers decided to check here for skipping students because that would suck hella bad.

Lucius walked swiftly down the corridor, his heavy footsteps echoing through the castle. It was twelve-thirty and all students were in class, save those few who had better things to do. Lucius envied those people, lounging by the lake on a beautiful sunny day like this instead of sitting in a chilly dungeon classroom. But there was nothing he could do to get out. He badly needed to pass his Potions exams this year, so cutting class was out of the question. The only reason he wasn't in class now was because he'd forgot his books in classroom eleven and had been sent to get them.
Silently, Lucius opened the door into classroom eleven, where he often did his homework when the common room became too noisy. He gasped as he saw the two cats sitting on the floor near his feet. He knew those cats well, he saw them everyday wandering around the common room. Lucius heard a rustling above him and looked up to see Aphrodite sitting on steps. He opened his mouth to say something, but thought better of it. He even turned to leave until he remembered his potions books, which were upstairs in the old office. 'Just say something,' he thought.
Lucius cleared his throat a little more loudly than he meant to and closed the door behind him and started walking to the staircase. He gazed up and found himself looking into her beautiful eyes. He stopped walking, now standing directly in front of the staircase, and looked her up and down. She looked good, he noted. But everything looked good on her. Not for the first time since they broke up that summer Lucius wanted to go to her and apologize for whatever it was he did that made her leave him. But once again he held himself back, thinking it would probably sound too desperate. Instead he managed a small smile. "Hey."

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
She didn't really know what she was planning on doing on her laptop. Luckily she had internet so she decided to look up so music. She was getting a little tired of her old stuff and than maybe you could download a game or something.
She thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the door. She quickly looked up, with a look that could be referred to as the deer in the headlights look. Her face quickly lightened when she saw who it was. It wasn't much better than a teacher but at least he couldn't give her a tardy.
A guilty feeling grew in her gut. This always happened when she saw him and it made her feel hunger. Of course today was the day she forgot to put some snacks in her backpack. She hated the feeling she got when she saw him. Every time she'd seen him since summer and she never had the guts to say sorry or anything. She blamed her stubborn personality.
She was a little taken back when he spoke. She took her eyes from her computer screen to look down at him from the stairs. "Hey." She said softly, quickly looking back at her laptop screen. She didn't want to look at Lucius for too long. She looked down at him and smiled. What's up? You coming to hang out with me. It's been forever! She said glancing at her screen, checking the download.
He probably wasn't to happy about seeing her but she could always hope. Maybe he'd want to stay for a little. She missed having him around. "How was your summer? Mine totally sucked! Muggles are pathetic." She looked back at the computer. She probably shouldn't have said that. But it was true. Muggles are so stupid and boring. It was a touchy subject though.

Lucius looked down at the cold stone floor. He wanted to stay. He wanted to ask if there was any chance of them ever being together again. He also wanted his father to tell the truth for once. And he knew that wasn't going to happen anytime soon either. "I can't stay," he said eventually. "I should be in class. I just came to get my books."
He looked up at her again, as she asked about his summer. Lucius had heard through the grapevine that she'd called it off with the muggle. He wasn't too sympathetic. "It was ... uh ... boring. Father was actually home for most of it, so I had to attend all his ridiculous business parties." He neglected to say how when he wasn't attending the parties he was sitting in his chambers writing soppy love letters that never came out the way he wanted. "I'm sorry to hear about yours though. Was he ... I mean, were they really that terrible?" Lucius had to admit, hearing her say the muggles were pathetic did make him feel a bit better. But then again, she left him for that pathetic muggle.

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
Aphrodite looked back at her computer screen as he spoke. She tried not to let her expression change when he spoke. She sighed lightly as she messed around on her computer. "Oh ok. If you really need to get back." She said as she bent her legs so they were resting on the edges of the stairs.
Ok so him saying he had to go was a little disappointing. This was the first time she'd actually got to talk to him since she dumped. "You sure you have to get back?" She said with a smile. She looked down at him, her eyes twinkling ever so lightly. "It's been a while since we skipped class together." She said in her devious way, with a half smile.
She smiled at his words. She never really known what to think of his father. She couldn't be sure if he had even liked her. Not many people did so she wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. "I'm not sure whether to the that it was awesome that your dad was home to to feel sorry for you." She said smiling lightly down to him. "But the parties must have stunk. I'm definitely sorry about that." She said giggling lightly.
She could see the small pleasure on his face about the muggle comment. "They are!" She exclaimed. "They are afraid to break any rules and their such wimps. He wouldn't even brave the Forbidden Forest." She said laughing lightly. "That had probably my biggest mistake I've ever made." She said looking instantly back at her computer. She didn't want to see the look on his face at her comment. She was too happy about admitting it but whatever.

"Well ... I guess I've probably missed too much of the class to catch up anyway. So, yeah, I can stay for a little bit." Lucius walked up the stairs and sat down beside her. 'What do you think you're doing? asked a small voice somewhere inside his head. 'Your cutting class to spend time with a girl that broke your heart four months ago! Are you crazy?' Lucius pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind as he stared at Aphrodite. Her smile made his heart beat faster. He smiled back, remembering all the times they'd ditched class and gone up to the astronomy tower.
The smile faded somewhat as she talked about the muggle boy. He wasn't sure it was a good thing to be talking about when this was the first time they were talking since the break-up. But his curiosity was too great. There were so many question he had. But he wanted her back desperately and was worried prying into her private business would make her leave again. Finally he plucked up the courage and asked: "Why did you go out with him. I mean, he never seemed like your type."
(ooc: hey, should Lucius and Aphrodite go to the Yule Ball together? doesn't matter to me.)

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
Aphrodite's face brightened up instantly when he said he could say. She smiled brightly as he sat down beside her. "I'm glad your staying." She said brightly as she messed with her computer. She pulled up youtube and put on a song. It's was Hey Bulldog by The Beatles, one of her favorites. Being her normal hyper, flirty self she scooted a little closer to Lucius, so the sleeve of her jacket was touching his.
When he smiled at her she began to think about why she'd left him in the first place. She couldn't really think of a reason. A stupid impulse maybe. It defiantly couldn't have been because of him, she figured that much. He was so cute when he smiled. He reminded her of a little boy, hoping for candy. She wasn't sure why but he did. The thought made her giggle lightly. She quickly looked at the computer screen.
She couldn't look at his face when his smile faded away. She didn't want to see him mad or sad or anything but happy. It made her feel bad and she wasn't in the mood to feel bad. She didn't like her decision as more than he probably did. Well he probably hated a lot more than she did. "I don't really know why." She said softly with a sigh. "Curiosity I guess. I mean your talking about me, remember. I do things off stupid impulses. Most of them don't turn out well for anyone and I get upset." She said as she looked over at him.
She looked at his eyes and could tell her face dropped. This was such a touchy subject, but it was better to get it over with now and not to avoid it till it was a huge thing. Even though she really just wanted to avoid it. He probably did just as much as her but it was too late now.
{{They could. It doesn't matter to me either. It would be pretty interesting seeing as their suppose to be broken up XD}}

"So, it wasn't me," Lucius said happily, his eyes grew wide, then he realized this probably wasn't the best reaction for this type of conversation and he calmed down. "I mean, I didn't do or say anything to make you want to split up, right?" She was driving him crazy, she was closer than they'd been even weeks before the break-up. It was so tempting to just reach out and touch her now. He loved the way she looked, the way she smelled, he loved everything about her.
"I'm sorry. If you don't want to talk about all this, I understand," he said, forcing himself to look away from her. "It's just ... well, I've missed you a lot. I never realized how much I depended on you until you were gone." He took a deep breath, preparing himself for what he wanted to say. "I love you, Aphrodite. I know I said it before, but I don't think I ever really meant it until right now. I understand if you don't accept that right now, or if you don't feel the same way about me, but I'm going to do everything I can to prove that I'm the right man for you."

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
She giggped lightly at him words. No it wasn't you. You never did anything to make me want to leave." She said smiling brightly at him. "I'm just an impulsive that makes stupid mistakes." She said as she changed the song coming from her computer. She felt kind of bad for making him think that he was the reason she left.
"It's ok. It's just that I haven't talked to anyone about this since..." She paused and thought about it. "Well since ever." She said smiling lightly. She'd never talked to anyone about the whole weird thing that'd been going on. She really didn't have anyone she wanted to tell. But she was glad to finally talk to Lucius about it.
She smiled at his words, glad to her him say them. "I know you do and I love you right back Lucius but do I still get to watch you try and prove your right for?" She say giggling lightly as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I think that could be really funny." She said giggling softly. She took a breath in and noted that he smelled really good and his shoulder was surprisingly comfortable stiill. That thought made her smile lightly.

"Ha ha ha. No, you do not," he said, feeling slightly embarrassed for having gone through such a dramatic and emotional speech only to find out it was completely unnecessary. But still, he was glad everything was out in the open now. It felt right to have her resting her head on his shoulder. It reminded him of how they used to be and he silently vowed to make things better than they ever were for them. He would do anything for her, and he was going to make sure she knew it. "So, does this mean we're dating again? Because if we are, I want to take you to the Yule Ball," he said softly. "Besides, that fourth-year, Kady Higgins keeps eying me. I think she wants me to take her. Imagine that."

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
She made a fake sad face. "Aw. I was so looking forward to that." She said laughing softly. "You were just joking when you said that you never really meant it when you said you loved me before know, right?" She said looking up at him, her cheek still pressed against his shoulder. He probably shouldn't have said that. It had been the best move, maybe if he was just kidding. That isn't something you would want to say to a girl and really mean.
She looked down at her computer which was automatically playing her favorites. She smiled as he spoke to her. "Yea I guess we are." She said in a happy tone, which was slightly higher pitched than normal. "And I love to go to the ball with you. I hate to admit this but dressing up is some much fun." She said giggling lightly.
She got a devious half smile on her face as he spoke about the fourth year. "Well we'll just have to show her that your completely off limits." She said laughing lightly at the thought. She definately had an evil side to her personality.

Lucius smiled down at her. 'She's so cute when she's thinking evil thoughts.' "Just be careful. Remember what happened the last time we ganged up on a fourth-year? I still say the team lost that game because I wasn't allowed to play," he said, remembering the most terrible Quidditch match he'd ever seen. "And I believe Slughorn warned you that one more injured student would guarantee your expulsion." Lucius frowned as he imagined going through seventh-year without her by his side. It was a horrible image. "Then again, Dumbledore's not likely to expel a sixth-year, so you might be safe."
(I think this is almost over, don't you?)

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
She laughed lightly at the memory. "It was completely worse it in my opinion." She said with a smirk. The fourth year had deserved is so she didn't really care. It did kind of suck that slytherin had lost. It was funner to watch Lucius play than it was to watch the match with him. All he'd done was complain about not being able to play. But that wasn't something she was going to tell him.
"Slughorn doesn't scary me." She said rolling her eyes. "Plus do you really think their going to exspell me. My parents would freak! You know how they are." She said with a sigh. Her parents were a pain but they absolutely loved Lucius. That was the biggest thing that she'd always hated about him. But she tried not to think about that much. "And what made you think I was going to hurt her? How mean do you think I am?" She said giving him an innocent look. She was anything but innocent though.
{{Yea probably. XD}}

Lucius knew her parents well, probably better than he knew his own. And he knew how they'd react if Aphrodite was expelled, but he was afraid that Dumbledore wouldn't care about their reaction. It was the main reason Lucius' father had hated being a student under the old wizard's rule. Dumbledore didn't listen to parents very well. All he cared about was what was best for the students. Lucius somewhat respected him for that. But if doing what was best for the students meant expelling one, Lucius knew he'd do it.
He laughed at her supposedly innocent look. "Not mean," he said. "Merely cunning. It's one your best traits." Lucius looked down at his watch. Potions class was almost over, then everyone would be going down to lunch. "We should probably get going if we're going to make it to lunch on time." He stood and held out a hand to help her up.

It's Aphrodite, Chienne!
Aphrodite smiled at his words. "Cunning is an awesome word." She said laughing lightly. She really couldn't argue with the cunning part but she disagreed with the not mean. She thought she was and a few people had told her she was. She really wasn't in the mood to argue with him though. Not yet anyway.
"Yea your probably right." She said as tucked her laptop back into her backpack. She grabbed his hand, pulling herself up. She grabbed her back pack and swung it on to her back. She looked around the room making a clicking sound. Ate came running out from under a table with Erebus at her heels. Aphrodite picked up the small cat and turned to Lucius, waiting for him.
