&& i never meant those words i said...
"I hope he can keep a secret..." Kyndrick whispered to herself as she stood alone in that stupid little secret passageway. She needed to talk to him about what she'd said the other night at that stupid forest party. the upside of her little organized extravaganza, loads of people showed up. The downside? Rumors about what a whore Aericka Thorne is and how Damon Linley beat her were storming the school. Not only that, but Remus and Kavic knew Kyndrick was pregnant. Okay, Remus knew, Kavic was left hanging. So, earlier that day, she'd caught up to him in the hall and told him to meet her there, int eh secret passageway to chat about just what he'd heard.
Kyndrick knew her option all too well. Too many rumors had floated around about her in those halls before. She could either tell him it was all a drunken lie and she was out of her mind when she had said it or she could trust him and beg him to keep it a secret. She;d start to get bigger in time and he'd know she lied when that happened. He could keep a secret, right? He was in Gryffindor after all. Kavic couldn't be all bad. She'd made out with him before and she hoped he'd throw her a bone and keep this little thing under wraps.
So, she waited in that dusty passage as she wondered when he'd show up. Few boys kept a girl like Kyndrick waiting. She knew he'd be there sooner rather than later. She stared down at her navy blue converse and sighed. She wore a pair of dark denim jeans and navy blue knit sweater. It was a little low-cut and Kyndrick knew she was always too much. She looked up to the entrance and tried to get the worry out of her bones.

Kavic slipped into the passageway just then, well aware that he was running late.
"Sorry, Slughorn."
he said by way of explanation, even though it wasn't quite the truth. He had dallied after class, so much that Slug had even asked the boy what was troubling him. Kavic had just laughed then, and said, 'What else, a girl?' and Slughorn had laughed along with him. Truth was, he wasn't sure what to say or think. Was she asking for help? His help? He would try to do whatever she needed, of course he would, but he wasn't sure what she would ask for that he could give. Other then support or his confidence on the matter of course, but he wasn't sure that was all she would ask for. Not Kyndrick, who could command a boy with a flick of her eyes or the quirk of a smile. But he already knew that, and that he was prepared to what it to took to help her if that was in his power. It was the type of guy he was for better or for worse. He glanced over her as he shrugged out of his black school robe and hung it over his messenger bag, hiding a small smile at the sweater. Only Kyndrick would drunkenly spill the beans about a possible pregnancy, then ask to talk with him privately wearing a low cut sweater. But other then the sweater, she looked worried. But what girl wouldn't be? He tried to imagine Koran in this situation, in this dark hallway possibly about to reveal this and shuddered internally. Not for the first time since last night, he was grateful that she kept to herself. He didn't know how he would handle that situation. (Other then beat the living crap out of the unlucky guy, of course.)Loosening the tie with one hand, he dropped the bag to the floor, relieving his sore shoulder of the weight. "So what's up?" he finally asked, trying to be casual and not think about that night in the forest, leaning one shoulder against the stone wall.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She heard movement in the passage and looked up to spot him there. She sighed, she had to get this over with. "Well hello there Dearie. Long time no see." She tried to keep her casual and cool collection in tact. She automatically tried to hide her worry. All her years of being such a drama queen had suggested her be more expressive but she resisted.
"So, uhm, I'm sure you're wondering why I asked you to meet me here." She tried to sort out what to say before saying it. "Okay, maybe you know the basis for why I asked you here. You're right if you're thinking of what I told you the other night. I mean, I was drunk and stupid and I'm sorry for dragging you into this. It's true though. I won't lie. She confessed and looked down at the floor. Kavic really was a nice guy. Kyndrick wished she'd dated nice guys instead of just make an idiot of herself around them. "I'm not going to ask much of you, but if you might agree to not talk about what I told you around school, that would be greatly appreciated." Kyndrick added. She also had to hold back a bit. Normally, Kyndrick like dot seduce boys into doing things for her. She'd offer her sweetest of kisses and make it seem as though she had an endless supply of charm. Now though? Now she knew how she felt towards Remus and didn't want to be the girl she was before. She couldn't kiss anyone she wanted, she could flirt with anything on two feet. She had to do things the right way this time.
"I'm sort of, erm, with Remus now I guess. Or, I want to be so, forgive me if I seem different. I've never actually stayed in a relationship long." Kyndrick admitted. She wondered if anyone really knew her at that school. Was there a possibility of her being just friends with Kavic? If he kept her secret, she'd want to be his friend.

Kavic listened quietly, hands in his pockets, shoulder still placed against the wall, nodding slowly at her words about the pregnancy being true, oh the poor girl, and shied away from his natural instinct to comfort her…somehow. She’d probably just bat him away, it looked like she was summoning all her courage to tell him, a near stranger, this devastating secret of hers.
"I'm not going to ask much of you, but if you might agree to not talk about what I told you around school, that would be greatly appreciated."
He nodded again, smiling slightly. “Of course.” He said simply. “It’s not my secret to tell.” He was a little surprised that was all she wanted, his discretion, and wondered if he had not judged to harshly when he was wondering what she could want him for.
"I'm sort of, erm, with Remus now I guess.”
He smiled at one; they’d be a pair… the party girl and the loner. Remus must be frigging ecstatic at his good fortune.
“So I’m guessing it’s his…?” he asked carefully, even though it would be out of character even for Kyndrick if she decided to settle down (after all this time) with someone other then the father of her baby. Another question came to mind, “Have you talked to Pomfrey?” he asked, leaning his head against the cool stone wall. “Maybe she could help with… something?” He tried to think, but his knowledge of pregnancy (other how to make a baby of course) was limited. And he intended to keep it that way by God. “You probably want medical personnel in on it sooner or later though. How far along d’you think you are?” He stopped the questions then, the poor girl probably didn’t wanted to be badgered by his concerned curiosity on the matter.

Relief washed over her. The one request she'd made was being followed through with. After years of rumors and harsh words, she really was starting to grow out of it. maybe that was just God's way of saying See Kyndrie, you're having a baby now and you can't be little miss slutty party addicted teen anymore. Grow up doll. That God sure was one to mess with her. She smiled a little at the thought. Maybe this really was in her "greater plan" for life. Maybe she'd run into this huge mistake with Remus for a reason. She had to believe that because she knew that this wouldn't be easy. She was always up for a challenge so, it was all good with her.
See, that was one thing people never knew about Kyndrick between all the false charm and parties and baby-making, she was actually a fairly intelligent girl. Okay, intelligent in times that didn't include conceiving a child. She read a lot and was up there in her class. She didn't gloat about her intelligence because she was raised to think girls weren't really supposed to be very smart. She was taught that her looks got her everywhere and if she were by some rare chance smart, she wasn't to flaunt it. Of all the things to hide, she hid her love for reading and her intelligence the most because it would lay a certain stock of blame on her. Most people would think, surely a smart young woman wouldn't do the things Kyndrick Carmilla Laurent did. Surely a smart young woman would be one of the Lily Evans's of the world. Kyndrick merely liked to have fun more than she liked to apply her knowledge on a daily schedule.
"Thank you. You have no idea how much I appreciate it." Kyndrick smiled before he picked up his speech again. Of course he'd want to know who the father was. As soon as Kyndrick started gaining weight, she knew people would want to know. She knew it was useless to keep this hidden. "Yeah, I know, Remus Lupin and Kyndrick Laurent aren't exactly the kinds of names you hear floating around school together. People make mistakes, even the smart, quiet ones like Remus." She murmured, trying to throw Remus a little credit there.
"Oh God, yeah, I talked to Pomfrey. How else would I have found out? I mean, aside from my ya know female monthlies being rather late and my entire body suggesting there was something very different occurring. Sorry, I know, too much information. I shouldn't really be talking to you about this, but I don't know what else to do. I mean, I really want to have a relationship with Remus. I am going to. It needs to grow first. Right now, the word 'pregnant' makes him jumpy. He's still processing I guess." She said, knowing she was saying far too much. "Thanks you Kavic. Thank you for keeping my secret and thank you for listening to me ramble. Do you know how reassuring it is just to say how I feel? I mean, right now, you know, Remus knows, and that's it. I haven't even told any of my best friends and they're the ones any normal girl would have talked to." She smiled in a reserved sort of way. Kyndrick was so out of character. Who was she becoming exactly? Next thing she'd know, she'd be tossing out her knee-high boots to trade in for moccasins. She laughed at that internally, knowing Kavic would think her crazy for giggling to herself every few minutes. Did anyone really want to know what went on within the confines of Kyndrick's mind though?
"You would be surprised what I know medically. I'll work with Madam Pomfrey and let her do what she needs to do, but I've actually read a lot of books on magical remedies for things. Potions to cure the oddest illnesses. I mean, not many people know that my mom died when I was really little to a rare wizarding disease. I've always kind of wanted to learn more about why she died and how she died. What we could have done to fix it. Man, I'm just a plethora of unneeded information this afternoon, aren't I?" She smiled. Kavic could be a great friend. He was supportive in nature. He had that sort of personality that said he could be trusted and could deal with touchy information. Something about him made Kyndrick understand him on a different level. He was just friendly. That was all there was to it.

"People make mistakes, even the smart, quiet ones like Remus"
His smile was slightly sarcastic. "Making mistakes is a given, everyone makes them." he pointed out, one hand automatically going to the collar of his shirt where his cross necklace hung, hidden by the shirt and the crimson and red tie. Although not everyone makes one of this caliber... but he kept that thought silent. He's still processing I guess." He laughed aloud. "My sister is fifteen," he pointed out dryly. "I've heard it before." Although not news like this. Again, he felt a small bit of relief that his kid sister wasn't nearly as free-wheeling, and reprimanded himself mentally. It was hardly supportive to be grateful that she wasn't a Kyndrick. And then he laughed again, "Oh gosh, Remus... yeah. I can't even imagine what he's thinking. He's pretty tight-laced." "Thanks you Kavic. Thank you for keeping my secret and thank you for listening to me ramble. Do you know how reassuring it is just to say how I feel? I mean, right now, you know, Remus knows, and that's it. I haven't even told any of my best friends and they're the ones any normal girl would have talked to." He smiled in the light of her gratitude. "It's no problem," he said, bumping her shoulder like he would with any of his friends. "Really." Kyndrick seemed so much younger, so much happier as she poured out the words. He was well aware that normally, she'd never have talked to him. He didn't even know if she would have talked to anyone other then Remus. Kyndrick was the type of girl people liked to talk about, and this was news that would be hard to keep quiet in some peoples hands. Man, I'm just a plethora of unneeded information this afternoon, aren't I?" Kavic was impressed despite himself. Who would have beat the Kynrick Laurent, party child of Hogwarts, had read medical texts? He supposed part of him shouldn't be surprised, she was a Ravenclaw and no one in that house could be a defined as unintelligent. He laughed again with a wave of his hand. "It's fine, it's fine. Really. I'm glad you felt you could talk to me." He said honestly. "And I'm sorry about your mother." he added on. God, he might as well grow a uterus with all the remorse he was feeling for this poor kid. Oh well. She needed someone to talk to who wouldn't spread every word out with twisted meanings. And he felt touched, somewhat, that she had chosen him... even if it was mostly because she had drunkenly confided into him the other night. He held one arm out to her, "C'mere."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Kyndrick had to laugh as he spoke. "Sister? Is that Koran? I don't see her around school that often. Then again, I'm what, 2 years above her and in a different house." And then Remus was brought up again. "Oh trust me, he's less uptight once you get close enough." Kyndrick murmured before realizing how wrong that could be taken. She laughed to herself. "I meant in personality." She was only taking that places it didn't need to go.
"Oh god, I hate it when people say they're sorry about my mother. That's why I don't talk about her. Have you noticed how people always say sorry for things that they haven't affected at all? I wonder how society came into such a custom. It's no wonder we've got all these suicides all the time, people think everything's their fault!" She had to laugh, the mood needed lightening and she knew she'd really put Kavic in a strange position. After all, Kyndrick had only looked for a secret keeper, not an endless venting machine or something. She felt rather bad for not knowing much about Kavic's past. Apparently he had a sister. See, there was Kyndrie's problem. She spent too much time drunk on the couch next to the guy making out with him and not enough time asking him who he really was.
She smiled, feeling better now. She gave Kavic a hug and felt like a little kid. She felt like she was young enough that her dad still really cared about her and thought that she would go somewhere with her life. Those were good times. "Ya know, I really hope you feel comfortable enough to talk about anything now. Contrary to popular belief, I actually am very good at keeping a secret and if you ever have anything come up, I'm here." She offered lightly. "Plus, I'm filled with all sorts of advice. I've also got a very long list of things you should never do if you ever need me to scare your younger sister out of any huge mistakes." She laughed. Kyndrick had made her mistakes. She was also capable of letting them be in her past. She was beyond capable of moving forward and turning herself into something no one ever imagined.
She viewed the world as a series of possibilities. They were all open doors to her and nothing ever had limits. So, now was another chance to open a new door. She wanted to have Kavic Elliot as her first male friend. This was something so new, but she felt it made sense. Yes, it was stupid to define it that way, but it was a big enough obstacle for Kyndrick that it felt right to label it. "Kavic Elliot, I dub thee, my new friend." She had to smile. She hadn't "dubbed" anyone anything since she was ten and playing knights and princesses. People would have guessed her to be a princess, but no, she was always a knight. A knight had more fun in her book. Kyndrick loved how she viewed the world.

He grinned. "Yeah, that's Koran... and I'm not suprised you don't notice her. Always buried in a book that girl... even when she's walking in the lawns."
He laughed. She had recently shown him a bruise on her leg, acquired when she tripped over a root. He had pressured her into telling him why she tripped, and she finally confessed, blushing, that she had been reading while she walked and hadn't seen the root sticking up until she fell over it... much to her older brothers mirth. Kavic laughed at the double meaning, with a small shudder. Awkward moment... "Well those shy guys are the most suprising I'd wager. Honestly, I'd never expect Remus to leave his textbook long enough to get some joy out of life. Although," he suddenly turned thoughtful. "He does run with Black and Potter. And those two do live on the wild side so..." he shrugged. He'd shared a room with Remus for at least six years and he didn't know much about the other Gryffindor. Sad huh? He smiled in his embaressment. "Sorry, I see what you mean." But he did feel sorry for her, he couldn't imagine growing up without the steadiness of his mother at his side. He was close with both of his parents, magic and religion aside... he couldn't imagine losing one or the other. But maybe that was just his country upbringing speaking there, he didn't know many people who were quite as close. But he wasn't sure how to voice that, or even if he should. Seemed a bit rude to say he felt bad because he couldn't imagine losing a bond that she hadn't known. He hugged her back, squeezing affectionately for a moment before releasing her for a moment. "I'll be sure to remember that." He promised. But he didn't really know what he could confide. His background was pretty open; country upbringing, christian family, father a pastor and his sister went to school. He didn't sleep around unless there was alot of firewhiskey invovled... and even then, it usually got laughed off. Usually. He snickered. "Between you and me, that girl may be scared for life. Well enough though. I keep telling her that she could be the first Presybterian nun, but she doesn't believe me." He dropped down to one knee, playing along. "And I am honored to be your friend, my lady." he said in mock seriousness, kissing her hand before standing back up and making a silly bow to her. "Sounds like Koran could use a friend who will teach her how to live a little too. She sounds cool. I wonder if she's read any of my favorites." She said thoughtfully. See, Kyndrick wasn't all bad. She read medical texts, magic books, and even books from the Muggle world. She was a gal who knew how to leave herself cultured if nothing else.
Kyndrick giggled just slightly when Kavic took part in this all too immature display of amusement. "Oh, Sir Kavic, you should be honored. Only a fair few have earned such a title!" She played along. "I'm only joking of course. I love making new friends. But, if you should like to know, I don't make many male friends. I'm not trying to sound pompous, but a fair many seem to fall in love with me far too easily." She winked. Maybe it wasn't love, but they had affections that were beyond friendly. She liked to think she had a few hearts in her hand at this point in time though.
"Alas, what should our first task as fair friends be then Sir Kavic? Shall we go down to the kitchens and ask ever so politely for a bit of dessert. I think I see a great deal of dessert in my future." She winked. By Kyndrick's size, people often pre-judged her eating habits to be non-existent. Other girls had made jokes about anorexia or told her to go eat something. She'd scowl and tell them off with a good old Oh dear, you envy my metabolism so much to jump to conclusions that are so off base. In truth, Kyndrick ate all the time. She loved food. She loved dessert with a passion and if someone dared put chocolate before her, she certainly wouldn't turn it down.
"I could really do with something though. I mean, at home, I used to eat dessert for lunch and breakfast and sometimes dinner when my father wasn't around. Life's always been a party I suppose." She laughed. Kyndrie could turn anything into a celebration.

He thought about it for a moment. "Probably. She reads a lot of fiction... she loves the Lord of the Rings novels, I don't know how many times she's re-read those books. And she liked the Exorcist and Carrie, but the Exorcist's ending scared her."
He grinned a little. It wasn't the demon that had scared Koran, it was the tumble down the stairs at the end... she had pictured it so vividly, she had nightmares for days afterwards. "And I don't know how many books she's checked out from this library or from what subjects. Probably a little bit of everything." He bumped her shoulder again. "Your easy to love. And" he said honestly before nodding to the sweater. "When you wear sweaters like that, it kinda helps."He grinned to show he was joking, but held up his hands in mock defense against a well aimed (and well deserved) smack. He grinned. "Food is good." Food was always good. He was a teenage boy, food was only second to sex. He bowed again, "Shall we go fair lady?" he asked, offering his arm and picking up his bag with his robe slung over still and putting it over his shoulder. "Off to the kitchens to beg a... er, hearty meal?" he made a face at the clumsy wording. He chuckled. "Someone has a sweet tooth eh?" he teased. It was incredible that she was so small when she ate as much as she said she did. Her metabolism must be incredible.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Well, then, Lady Koran and I shall have to have a loverly chat of books some day then." Kyndrick smiled, rather pleased with the conversation. She really did need more intellectually stimulated friends. It wasn't that her friends weren't, it was just that a great deal of them had other interests and didn't read as often. Koran sounded quiet and Kyndrick needed quiet people around her. Quiet people didn't pry and ask why she was stupid enough to get pregnant. The thought made her a lot happier because, truth be told, Kyndrick didn't want to have the conversation over and over again.
"Kavic dear, you must be more subtle in the admiration of less than modest clothing on a young woman such as myself. You're lucky I don't hex you." She winked jokingly. "Although my wardrobe will most likely take a turn for the worst very soon so, no temptations will be required." She remarked in a half annoyed way. She was not fond of the idea of such big changes to her physical appearance. She loved how her body looked and the attention she'd gotten from how she looked. Now, she would be big soon. Not just big, but very obviously pregnant eventually. She didn't dare think of the stares that would follow her down the halls of Hogwarts.
"Yes, I do believe food becomes necessary when it comes to that entire, staying alive thing." She joked. The idea of a treat right then appealed to her so much. "Sweet tooth? Oh dear, you have so very much to learn. Chocolate and I, we go rather far back. Our relationship is more solid than anything you've ever come across." She joked lightly. The mood needed it, to be sure.
So, she started down the passage towards the kitchens and waved for Kavic to come along. "You know, I've always secretly wished to do very childish things in this school." She mused aloud. "I mean, haven't you ever wanted to play a huge game of hide and seek here? All the secret passages and such would be so amazing. We'd all have to play on teams of course." Kyndrick laughed at the though. These were the things she could have brightened her first year with had she not been too busy out in the forest seducing boys and getting drunk young.

"She'd be ecstatic."
He said honestly. "She hardly gets anyone to talk books or muggle with her." But how much of that was her, He didn't know. When she had first started Hogwarts she had flaunted the muggle books she read... now, not so much. Not with the threat of Voldemort looming closer, and people who didn't take to kindly to people of her heritage. Kavic on the other hand, had no such resverations. He wore his muggle band t-shirts and had their patches on his bag with pride, not really minding the questions. He was confidant enough in his magical ablities that he was reasonably sure that he could fend off any perstiant buggers. He grinned. "I'm just honest ma'am, the way my mum raised me." He said, bowing to her. He smiled again. "I wouldn't worry Kyndrick, if anyone could make being pregnant fashionable its you. Just you watch, by summer, Mademe Pomfrey will be doing pregnacy tests by the dozen. And watch, you'll one of the lucky ones who just has the little bump." He gestured in the air, tracing the shape of a quaint little baby bump. Aw. How cute. "Really?" He asked, pretending cluelessness (not that far of leap actually.) "You need it? I had no idea." He chuckled, grinning. "It sounds like it. Sheesh, girls and chocolate, I don't know what it is." He jogged a few steps to catch up to her, hitching the bag a little higher up on his shoulder. Stupid thing was heavy... Kavic grinned. "Or capture the flag," he proposed. "Or sardines!" he laughed. "You'd have to restrict it to a floor or two for that one though," he said, more thoughtful. "Otherwise, it'd take hours to find everyone. But that would be fun." He was quiet for a moment or two before finally saying, "And why couldn't we do that? Why couldn't we get a group together and play during the evening one weekend?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Ha, well, aren't you a charmer?" She laughed at his fashion comments. She could see that, doing a little pregnant runway show of Hogwarts school robes. It made her giggle to herself. Kyndrick felt so odd, to talk of such things with a boy. That strange line of gender was so prominent to her. She felt it there and didn't know how to deal with it. Perhaps so many years of expectations from the opposite sex being proven correct had done something to her mind.
"Aw, the best advice I could give any male. If you ever want to win a girl's heart over, give her chocolate." She smiled. "See, you learn fast Sir Kavic." She winked playfully.
She heard him out as he mentioned games she'd played in her youth. It brought a smile to her face fast. And then came the mention of playing such games now. "Well, I am an adult you know. I'm 17 and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be half-way respectable." She sighed and then realized something. "Well, maybe I'm not much of an adult after all." She looked down to her stomach. Surely respectable adults didn't make childish mistakes. "I'll do it. Would you like to help me plan then? We'll do a school wide game of hide and seek! It will be a grand event! I mean, if I can help plan parties in the forest, I can help plan games in the school. We'll just do sign-ups and make the teams by house." Her mind was stirring with the idea and it made her genuinely excited.
"Okay then, Sir Kavic and Lady Kyndrick will be hosting a game for the school!" She giggled. She couldn't wait.

He grinned. “Again, I try ma’am. With varying degrees of success.”
That was the truth. Sometimes no matter how hard he tried, some people seemed to think he was doing it to get something from them, or to get in their pants. When he was younger it had stung, but as he grew older he learned not to care. Some people would see what they wanted to see, and no matter how wrong or twisted it was. That was their choice, not his. “Duly noted… any specific type?” He teased. “White or dark? Or milk? I want to make sure I make a good impression see.” And then, in a mock serious tone, “And why yes, that has been observed… just sadly, not in History of Magic.” Thank god he was a sixth year and had been able to drop that stupid class after OWLs last year. “I’m seventeen too,” he pointed out. “It doesn’t seem to stop anyone… or at least, it doesn’t seem to stop anyone as much as they think it would.” He laughed. On his last birthday, he remembered laying in bed waiting to feel different or more responsible until finally one of his dorm mates had thrown a pillow at him to get him up. He still felt like a kid at times, an older, taller kid… but still just as fun loving as he had been when he was eleven. Oh well. Maybe that more of a comment on him then it was on aging and ‘adulthood’. He grinned, excited by the prospect. “I’m in.” he promised. “And this has to be a little simpler… at least its not breaking rules.” He was pretty sure that sneaking firewhiskey in (not to mention the other, harder substances) and having a bonfire in the Forbidden Forest might be questionable on the ‘is this possibly allowed?’ list. Kyndrie smiled, "Dark chocolate. Dark chocolate will get a gal to do anything you ask." She winked. It was true. In Kyndrick's opinion, dark chocolate could bring a woman back to life. Then again, she'd never tried it so, it wasn't much use. She smiled as Kavic remarked upon his age as well.
"We're the most childish adults ever. You realize this, don't you? I definitely look forward to a game of hide and seek though. It will be the grandest of all events!" She laughed and danced ahead a little to do a little twirl in the hall. Kyndrick always had had a dance-like quality about her movements. Perhaps it was merely how she formed.
"Oh, breaking rules is my specialty though." She winked. How many times had she said those words in different contexts? "I am an expert at testing limits. How do you think I came to this little jam?" She pointed at her stomach. "Maybe it's the art of persuasion. Not manipulation, but persuasion. I bet I could make anything look like it's a good idea in your eyes. Dare to test it?" She asked playfully. It was true. Maybe it was just optimism, but Kyndrick figured she could make death look like something good if she had to. She blamed her youth. Dealing with her own mother's dearth had forced her to find the brighter side of things. What with a war rising outside Hogwarts, Kyndrick had to be the bearer of good news.
She fell back into step with Kavic, waiting for something bad she could turn to good.
