&& tension builds slower than it breaks...
Her hair was pulled back into a pony-tail that day. She'd had quidditch practice that morning and she'd begun to wonder if they'd still let her play as she got bigger. Surely flying wasn't a danger. She had to laugh at that. She walked beside two young men. Both were dashing, chivalrous Gryffindors. Both were also 6th years. One was Remus Lupin, her boyfriend and the father of the baby she would have in months. The other was Kavic Elliot, her new best friend. There was a possibility of Koran showing up, but Kyndrick didn't count on it. She was growing rather attached to this group of Gryffindors, much to the dismay of her best friend Rosalie Logan who happened to be a Slytherin. Kyndrick's popular nature made her a chameleon to houses. She fit with all groups and made friends where ever she went.
Now, she walked beside her boyfriend and her best friend and wondered what the two were thinking. She knew that the two boys had never been more than acquaintances. It was so odd to her because the two shared a dorm. They saw each other every night. How could they not be friends? They just weren't though.
These days, Kyndrie had begun to wish that the two boys would become friends. They were her two favorite people in Hogwarts and them getting along would make life such a fun thing. She didn't see much possibility in it though. She was oblivious to their true feelings towards one another. All she knew was that both were very close to her. She didn't want to trade that in.

Tired of always saying sorryIt's just another fighting storyAnd I can barely walk a straight lineI'm tired of learning life the hard way Gah. Kavic Elliot again. Why did he keep seeing that kid everywhere? Oh yeah, because he'd started to hang out with Kyndrick Laurent more. Ever since his newly pregnant girlfriend and his roommate suddenly became the bestest of friends, he was naturally going to see a lot of the latter. So the more important question had to be why Remus cared so much. Well, did he care? Remus wasn't so sure. He knew that he didn't like Kavric very much though. It wasn't that he was seeing Kavric everywhere. No, but that was definitely a contributer. It wasn't that he'd seen the two of them kissing at the forest party either. That would mean Remus was jealous. And Remus Lupin didn't get jealous. Or at least that was what he liked to claim.
But whichever reason that he disliked Kavic, had there ever been a real reason at that, Remus didn't hate the kid. It was more of a didn't know him sort of deal. It was almost odd that Remus and Kavic had never taken the time to actually have a casual conversation every now and then, considering they were roommates. But the two had always been acquantances, nothing more really. Strange, that they'd never gotten to know each other but, true. Well, now that they were both close to Kyndrick, they had time to get to know each other right? For some reason, Remus, a normally friendly person didn't find that idea so exciting. What was wrong with him? Why couldn't he just get along with Kavic? At least for Kyndrick's sake right? She obviously cared for Kavic, despite Remus' unknown dislike for the boy, so why did he not like him too? Remus felt very petty, but he couldn't help it.
Another problem, besides his pregnant girlfriend being pregnant with his child, and the fact that she was best friends with Kavic Elliot, was that he had yet to tell her the truth about him. The whole, moon-rising, fur-and-claws-growing truth. He liked to think it was a matter of not having the right time. But he knew it was because he was worried. Not just for her reaction, but also about the kid. The one she was carrying right this minute. What would he or she be like? Would it, could it be completely human if it had a werewolf for a dad? He'd asked Dumbledore, but found that he had no answers for him either. Just a theory that it might be infact human, yet be characteristically wolf as well. Everytime Remus thought about this, he pictured a stroller carrying a tiny, wolf-faced baby in the midst of it's blankets. And cue the internal shudder.
It didn't help that a full moon was nearing Remus' horizon, and by which time, he would need to think of some sort of excuse for missing his classes to give to Kyndrick. Unless of course, he told her before then. But seeing as he'd be headed to the Shrieking Shack in a mere two days, he really didn't think he would break it to her before then. And the excuses for not telling her just kept coming didn't they? Today however, considering his already frustrated mood what with the upcoming transformation ahead of him downing his spirit, something else was bothering him. So naturally, he had to bring it up.'Did you have practise today or something?' He asked in an offhandedly delibrately casual tone to Kyndrick. Okay, so his problem was that she was still going to continue playing quidditch when she was pregnant. As much as he didn't like the 'p' word being used to describe her, or the fact that she really was pregnant, he also figured that perhaps she shouldn't do dangerous things. Like, play a game where one of the biggest objectives is knocking people off their brooms. What if she fell?

Kavic walked in silence on Kyndricks other side, not saying much. He didn’t trust himself not to make a sharp remark and get a roll of the eyes from Kyndrick for his cheek. Oh well. He hadn’t been friends with Remus before… all of this, and it certainly gone downhill from there. Kavic wasn’t sure why. Did Remus suspect something, based on that kiss in the forset? Kavic couldn’t be sure. He felt though, that Remus stared after him whenever he walked with Kyndrick alone or whenever they showed up together for soemthing. God. It was frusrating. Koran said that she didn’t see it, that he was making a big deal of nothing, but still… the stares felt real enough.
And besides, Koran wasn’t ‘in’ on this. All she knew is that her brother was close with Kyndrick Laurent and that he didn’t get along with Kyndricks boyfriend who happened to be a prefect along with her. Wonderful. She didn’t understand the tension inbetween them, her brother and unspoken crush. Not that she had said anything about having a crush on Remus. She didn’t tell him anything like that anymore unless he persisted for hours (or they were safe from prying ears at their home.). Part of the joys of growing up… Oh well. The kid deserved some secrets… he definitely kept some from her. Just not about having a crush on an annoying classmate.
Speaking of Koran…
She was standing down the hall, with a group of fifth years. Either she saw them or someone them out, Kavic didn’t see, but she was seperating herself from the group and walking over to join her brother, his friend, and her boyfriend. Kavic ruffled her hair when she fell into step beside him, ignoring her protests and attempts to bat his arm away. “Hey kid.”
She stuck her tongue out at him, a very mature way to point out she was all of fifteen and not a ‘kid’ anymore. “Hello Kav.” She looked around him to Remus and Kyndrick. “Hi Remus, Hi Kyndrick.” She said, a little shyly. She knew Remus of course, but Kyndrick was new territory… she hadn’t warmed fully up to the other girl yet, even though she knew Kyndrick was a good friend of her brothers. She was always quiet around people she didn’t know as well… she definitely didn’t have her brothers outgoingness. Oh well. Something to define her right? The shy Elliot child.

How was Kyndrick to know? How was she to know that Remus Lupin was a werewolf, that Kavic Elliot wouldn't be too thrilled to learn of said werewolf abilities, and that Koran Elliot happened to have a crush on the father of her baby? It was all reeking drama should anyone have chosen to enlighten Kyndrick. All the girl knew was, she was beginning to feel particularly emotional. It had to be the pregnancy, why else would she act that way? That morning in the changing rooms, she'd started crying because she thought that she'd have to quit playing. Now, she realized, the subject was coming up.
"Yeah, this morning." Kyndrick said and winced at her own words. She had to make it sound okay. "At least let me try to make it to the house cup. I promise I'll quit if things start getting too dangerous." She murmured and reached down to take Remus' hand. She put on a big smile and acted as if she'd not said a thing.
That was when she realized they were joined by another. "You must be Koran. I've heard loads about you." She smiled. "Please, you must tell us all Kav's deepest darkest secrets so we can tease him forever." Kyndrie laughed. The mood needed lightening and she had a feeling that Kavic and Remus were less than talkative in each others company. Kyndrick had no idea why since they were in the same year and same house. Kyndrick knew pretty much everyone in Ravenclaw. It was odd, but she did. She simply spent time in the common room and out conversing with people. It must have been an odd sight to see as the three Gryffindors walked with the one Ravenclaw. Kyndrick laughed at all that house diversity stuff Lily Evans had been talking to her about the other day.

Tired of always saying sorryIt's just another fighting storyAnd I can barely walk a straight lineI'm tired of learning life the hard way Remus watched Kyndrick from the corner of his eyes. As much as he didn't like their situation, he didn't want her to get hurt more. He'd never worried about anyone playing quidditch before. Hey, his best friends were obsessed with the sport, and they had a spot on the team. Remus hadn't even blinked an eyelash, and they had always come back from the game unscathed. Well, on the most part. But quidditch just wasn't his thing persay. He'd much rather indulge in a good book or two then race around a giant pitch carrying a beater's bat. It wasn't like he could do that anyway. He wasn't the best player in the first place. Watching of course, was different. After all, what kind of normal wizard didn't like some sports?
However, the point stayed the same. What if she fell off her broom? What if some idiot slammed a bludger at her head? Remus could just imagine the possiblities, and there were a lot of them. He could also imagine his own actions should someone send a bludger to Kyndrick's head...let's just say it wasn't exactly pretty. Not that Remus thought himself as pretty in the first place, but you get the point. She wasn't alone now. She had...something in her. Gah. Why couldn't he just tell her? Spit it out already Remus! She needs to know.
No. She'll hate me. He replied silently to his head impatiently. There was always a reason not to... 'I just don't want you to get hurt...' He said quietly, his eyebrows pulling together like they always did when he was concerned, or just worried. It was probably a regular expression on his face by now. He was always worried. He had too much stress for any sixteen year old to carry around. It should be illegal to think. He took her hand nontheless. It was hard not to be shut up by her touch. But, Remus fought past this distraction. 'What about the--' He began, but let his voice trail off in confusion. Why was he worrying about that thing? And besides...he couldn't just mention it now. They had more company.
He allowed a somewhat-strained smile appear on his lips towards Koran. Strained from worry, and also dim in comparison to Kyndrick's. 'Hello Koran.' He greeted her. 'How's it going?'

Koran nodded, prompted by her brothers gentle elbow to the ribs, "Yes, I'm Koran."
She said carefully, briefly looking over Kyndrick as girls do before smiling (apperantly Kyndrick meet her standards). "Only the good stuff is true." she pointed out, before looking up at her brother with a grin. "And oh do I have stories..." He groaned. She would tell them, and then Lupin would most likely spread them back out, the jerk. "Shut up Corana." She just smiled politely at her brother. "Yes." And then as an after thought. "Frog." Kavic had been expecting that one. He just laughed shortly and ruffled her hair again. She made a face at her brother and looked back over to Remus. "I'm fine how are you?" Her smile was a little friendlier to him, but it was more because she knew him better. And Kyndrick, older, taller, beautiful Kyndrick intimidated her just a hair. But oh well. As her brother said, they'd be wonderful friends. In time of course. She glanced in between Lupin and Kyndrick, noticing the tension in between them. She also could tell that her brother was tense as well... but at she knew why that was. He wasn't fond of Lupin, although Koran still couldn't figure that one out. Lupin had never been anything but polite to her and almost everyone else. Maybe her brother was jealous? She didn't think that was case. She knew he thought Kyndrick was pretty, but she was sure he hadn't fallen for her like, for example, how'd he'd fallen for Lily Evans. Maybe he had finally leaned to hide a crush from her? Who knows. All she could do was stay out of middle as the two boys circled like wolves marking their territory and only hope they didn't tear each other apart. And try not to take a side for either of them. Not to difficult at all, right? Kavic looked over Kyndricks head to Remus. "She is the captain Lupin," he pointed out mildly, although he inwardly agreed a little. He just wasn't going to agree aloud. "I think she knows how to take care of herself in the air." [/blockquote][/blockquote]
