Hello, good morning, how ya do?What makes your rising sun so blue? I could use a fresh beginning too All of my regrets are nothing new Just her luck. Honestly. She had just finished her little shopping spree, which included some major spurging at Zonko's, and had taken all of one step outside when it had started raining. And not just sprinking small portions of rain. No. That would be tolerable, and we couldn't have that now could we? Of course not. This rain was quite literally, pouring buckets, seeing as each drop was almost the size of Riley's fist. Okay, so maybe she was overexagerating. Just a bit. Usually Riley liked rain afterall. When she was inside and not getting soaked that is. Watching from afar was always fun, and even jumping around in puddles was cool, but Riley hadn't exactly dressed for the weather that morning, and she could feel the cold of the water dripping into her sweater as she huddled under her hood.
Her outfit, was unsurprisingly enough, relatively casual. Dark denim jeans that had been carelessly tucked into beige boots, with a too-large grey sweater. First mistake of that day, not bringing a jacket. Considering the current climate, and month, this was probably an idiot thing to do, but hey, what was done was done, and Riley couldn't change that fact now. It wasn't like she could magically conjure up a jacket. She had never been one for Transfiguration. In fact, she had never been one for school. One of the biggest unsolved mysteries in her life was how she had ever been placed in Ravenclaw, home of the, what was it? smart. Sure, Riley was smart and all, but she wasn't Ravenclaw-book-nerdy smart. She prefered to use her wits in the more important aspects of life, like quidditch.
Her boots could probably be heard squeaking, as she raced through the grounds of Hogsmeade. Ducking into the first place she could find, which evidently was not the greatest idea, as she than slammed face first into a figure in front of her. Stumbling backwards from the force of impact, she was stunned by her complete oblivious state. Normally, she wasn't exactly the biggest klutz. Quite the opposite really, as Riley was a bit of a tomboy who enjoyed her sports, she liked to think that she had a fair amount of posture. A few choice swear words were released from her lips, words that were probably not expected by her small 5' ft figure. "Oi! Watch it." She said sharply, before looking up to see who her victim had been.

--Bah. Accidentally deleted cos I'm a moron. But to summarize; Kavic and Koran get stuck in the door, Koran whines a little about the rain and then gets ran over by Riley. Carry on.--

Hello, good morning, how ya do?What makes your rising sun so blue? I could use a fresh beginning too All of my regrets are nothing new Riley blinked twice in the light, as her eyes focused on the figure in front of her. A girl. Probably younger by the looks of her. Not that it would look so from her perspective. People always figured Riley to be younger, what with her annoyingly small figure. It got quite irritating after a while. Everyone thought Riley was cute all the time. They always were so shocked when she glared them down angrilly. Like it was impossible for a short person to be angry. They probably thought it was imoral or something. Like if you were smaller then them, you were supposed to be a happy little leprechaun all the time. Ew.
Hm. It seemed that Riley hadn't been the only one taken by surprise by the impact. The girl, who Riley still didn't recognize, had been thrown forwards into someone else. Oops. Perhaps she shouldn't have snapped at her, considering the collision had been mostly Riley's fault. But then again, why had she been standing in the doorway? That hadn't been Riley's fault. She'd done that one all on her own. Her eyes then darted to past the girl, to take in the rest of the Three Broomsticks. It was pretty full. Apparently, everyone else had gotten the brilliant idea to jump into the café once it had started raining like Riley. Great. Crowds had never really been Riley's thing, and considering her already not-so-happy mood from the unexpected rain, and this encounter, she wasn't that thrilled about having to deal with one now.
Upon hearing the girl apologize, Riley's eyes flickered back to her, and she pulled a hand back through her damp(and thoroughly messy) hair. With a bit of a grimace, she spoke again with a hint of uncertainty. 'It's fine. It was partly my fault anyway. Tryina get out of the rain' She said, her head turning just slightly towards the door behind her as her hand falling back onto her side. She had never exactly enjoyed apologizes. They showed weakness in her opinion, and growing up with three brothers, you really couldn't be caught saying them at her house without a few hours of teasing coming your way. That's why the Dawson motto had always been 'don't get caught'. Well, at least, that was one reason why.
As long as she was going to be playing nice, might as well introduce herself. 'Riley Dawson' She said with a hint of a smile as she held out her hand.

Koran returned the handshake with a shy smile, “Koran.” She said simply before gesturing behind her, ““And this is my…” But Kavic was already moving, sliding his hand past Korans to shake Riley’s. Koran rolled her eyes a little. The flirt, show him a pretty girl and he was gone. Not that she was any more romantic then he was… she had little crushes, all the time. She just had the sense to hide them. Well… attempt to hide them. From most of the population, save her brother and a select few other then him. But anyways...
“Kavic.” He said cheerfully. “And we were too… unforutantely it seems the whole of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts had the same idea.” He nodded to the crowded interior. “What’dya say, Hogs Head?” he asked his sister.
Koran gave him a look. “That’s what I was about to say.” She said, not adding ‘before I got pushed over.’ “But it might be even worse there.”
““I am not going to Puddifoots.”
That received a smile. “I wasn’t going to suggest it.” She said evenly, before looking back to Riley. “It’s going to be nightfall before we get served in there… would you like to try the Hogs Head with us?” she asked carefully.

Hello, good morning, how ya do?What makes your rising sun so blue? I could use a fresh beginning too All of my regrets are nothing new Koran? Hm, that was an unusual name. By unusual, she of course meant that it wasn't one you heard everyday. Well, a little variety was nice away from the numerous Ashleys of the world. Riley could definitely appreciate that. 'Nice to me--' She began, with a smile, but before she could finish her sentence, Koran's hand was gone, and replaced by a different one. It was the same boy that had caught Koran when she'd fallen. Apparently they knew each other? Well, that was better then getting shoved into a perfect stranger, that was for sure. '--et you' She continued with a grin as she held back a laugh from the boy's obviously cheerful aproach at the situation. Kavic? And Koran. Two strange names in one encounter. Her eyes took the two in, as she then nodded at Kavic's words in agreement.
'Yeah, apparantly.' She said, her eyebrows shrugging upwards in a defeated expression. That was just perfect really. And Riley could probably kill for a buttlebeer at that moment. Just to warm up her cold toes. But, it really didn't look like that was going to happen anytime soon with the quantitive amounts of people in this place. She looked away from the crowds in time to hear their bickering, which only widened her sideways grin some more. When the girl turned to her away from Kavic to speak once more to Riley, she quickly hid her grin. She didn't want to make it look like she was laughing at them. Even if she was.
Hog's Head? But wouldn't that require going back outside. In the rain. Which Riley had come here, slamming into Koran in the process to escape? She pondered this thought quickly. Advantages vs. Disadvantages. Obviously, getting actual service would be a plus, while it meant getting wet again. But then again, Riley was already soaked. Would it really do any more damage to go outside again? Oh yeah. Not getting cold all over again, and the slight posibilty of drying faster. Her once surprised expression morphed itself into one of thoughtfulness. 'Sure.' She decided with a shrug. The damage had already been done to her clothes. There really was no point in trying to stop nature. Unless of course, one had the oh-so-handy tool of magic on their hands...
'You know how to conjure an umbrella?' She asked the two.

Both of them looked to each other. There might as well have been a blinking neon sign that screamed ‘duh’ in a variety of painfully bright colors. They were a witch and wizard respectfully right? Kavic recovered first and gestured to his sister. “You go.” He was a year ahead of her, but she was better at conjuring and transfiguration then he was. Go figure. But he was better at using defensive magic… she tended to freeze up and over analyze the situation. Unless it was him. Then she just hexed him without thinking about it. He would tease her at home that she was smart to put her wand in her desk until summer break was over, so she didn’t get a citation for using under aged magic when she wasn’t even thinking about it. And Koran just always smiled sweetly and told him he better be glad she wasn’t seventeen… yet. (And he did. Every day.)
Koran withdrew her wand from her coat pocket, twirling it absently while she thought of the right words to use. Finally, sure that she had the right spell, she waved her wand, muttering the words under her brief. There was a brief second where she was worried that she had said something wrong, and it was about to backfire, but then there was a POP!, and a green umbrella fell from the air. Koran caught it before it hit the mud and opened it away from her brother and Riley. It looked okay, it was a little small, but there were no holes, that was the important thing. She handed to her brother. “Here.”
He shook his head. “No, you two share it… I’ll be okay.” He added, seeing Korans doubtful expression. “The sweatshirts thicker then your coat.”
Koran shrugged and turned back to Riley, holding the umbrella aloft. “Ready?”
