&&And I'm Having the Day From Hell
The moonlight was cold as it spilled into the hallway. It was late, the only light illuminating the hall came from the huge windows, casting creepy shadows everywhere. No one was moving around, it was the type of night that first years would be scared off. And if they had any sense, the first years would be in bed, asleep, or in their common room gossiping in front of the fire.
Koran Elliot knew that she wished she was ready, oh God, she was ready to get back. Prefect rounds had taken forever… she had answered question after question and had broken up what felt like a hundred fights (it was really only three. And all minor scuffles, no one was hurt. They just had needed a sharp word before they scattered.) So it had been late before she been able to run up to her dorm and grab her shower stuff and raced back downstairs to shower. She didn’t even go all the way down the prefects bathroom, just to the sixth floor. And oh good lord, the hot water… after Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology, all in one day, and then the rounds, the shower had felt nice, so she dawdled in the steam. Which made it even later before she dried off and got dressed in sweats, a plain blue t-shirt and a zip up sweat shirts that her brother had out grown. It was slightly to big her, and had holes at the cuff where her thumbs could poke through, but she still liked it. She was wearing some old flat sneakers as bath shoes… sandals were too cold for the winter nights.
She had stopped by one of the windows, kneeling down to reorganize her bag… fold her clothes more securely and stuff the toiletries into their respective pocket. Once sure that everything was in its place, she picked it up and slid her arms through the straps, hitching her shoulders til the bag sat comfortably between her shoulder blades. She lingered by the window, leaning against the wall while she pulled her hair from the messy bun she had thrown it up in. Finger combing idly, she watched fat flakes drift from the sky. Koran loved the snow, and winter in general… it seemed so peaceful.
She shook her damp hair, she was relatively dry, but her hair was so thick it took hours to get dry. She could dry it with magic she supposed, but she was hesitant to point her wand at her hair in fear of making it do something she didn’t want to… like poof up in an afro or change colors. God that’d be something to go to Pomfrey for… she laughed aloud at thought.
Koran leaned against the wall, idly fingering her prefect badge… she’d left it on in case she came across any teachers. They’d know that the prefects had a late night… but hopefully she wouldn’t see anyone else. Any one with sense was probably in their common rooms. So why was she still out?
Part of her wanted the warmth of the fire and the cozy chairs… she always had a text to study. Or she could just climb into her four-poster bed and sleep. Sleep. That was a good thing.
But the other part didn’t. She was tired of the tension between her brother, Kavic, and her friend Remus, tired of the barbed comments and almost hidden insults. She felt stuck in the middle, her family loyalty to Kavic and her loyalty to Remus as a friend. She sighed leaning her forehead against the cool glass. And Kav was annoyed at her for the another reason, but she didn’t even want to think about that anymore… it was exhausting even in thought.
But still, if they were in the common room, together, she didn’t want to be there. And Kavic had taken to sitting with her late into the night until he was sure everyone in his dorm was asleep. Normally she’d welcome the company, but it had turned into a tense, awkward situation.
Do you think I’d be allowed to sleep out here? She wondered to herself. I’d take it, Peeves included. At the thought of Peeves, her eyes raked the ceiling out of forced of habit.

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Sleep was natural. Sleep was normal. Sleep, was good. So why was it so impossible for Remus Lupin to do this at night? He had no problem with sleeping during the day, which wasn't so much of a good thing to do in your classes. Was it possible, that the reason why was Remus Lupin was neither natural or normal? Not even good?
Remus sighed slightly as he stared up at the ceiling of his dorm room. So far, he'd gotten total of zero hours of rest, in the entire capacity of four hours of laying on his bed. He'd counted. It was because a full moon had just passed. It was always hard to get into a proper sleeping schedule after you'd been running around as a giant wolf just a few nights before. Finally, giving up, he climbed out of bed in his frustration, doing so as quietly as posible. He didn't want to invade precious Kavic Elliot's beauty sleep. Rolling eyes slightly at the thought, he stopped himself from sticking his tongue out at the general direction of Kavic's bed childishly. Gah, that kid was annoying, he probably deserved a little annoyance in his life. Remus had plenty to spare.
Like perhaps, a child on the way, who may or may not actually be completely human. The fact that he'd yet to share this information with the unborn kid's mother, who evidently was also his girlfriend. But then again, these two items were more giant head aches then annoyances.Giant stresscases. Remus probably had 'issues', that was for sure. As quietly as he could, he pulled a grey shirt ontop of his bare chest, yanking on a red sweater. He wore black sweatpants, and stuffed his feet into the first pair of shoes he could find. He wasn't sure where he was headed just yet, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to get anymore sleep in his dorm room. Perhaps he would find a chair by the fireplace and attempt to rest there? As he stepped down the stairs, he discovered the common room empty. That should be a good thing, but it was too quiet. Eery even. Considering the usual chaos that it held. Hm, what time was it exactly?
Alright, so that plan went out the window. He continued across the room, and stepped outside into the hallway silently. Well, he could always pretend he'd been on prefect duty. Even if he didn't have it that day. But it wasn't like the professors would go check that lie. Not if it was coming from Remus Lupin. He was a good student, if you looked past his once-a-month absences that is. He grimaced slightly at that thought, as his mind began thinking about the painful transformation. Before he really knew it, he had made it to the sixth floor corridors, and was walking as dutyful as he could in his sleep-deprived state. Like he was supposed to be there, even if he really wasn't.
He ran a hand absentmindedly through his mess of brunette locks, as he tried to figure out what he could do until morning came. Sleep? Yeah, he wished. Homework? No thanks. His eyes spotted the prefect washroom. Too bad he wasn't a big of a troublemaker as James and Sirius. They probably would have created some sort of distraction right now if they were bored. Ah well, he should have woken them up. With another hardly hidden sigh, he wandered into the bathroom thoughtlessly. It looked like he'd just end up wandering all the hallways by this point. Nothing else to do really.
But he wasn't as alone as he'd figured. Upon entering the washroom, his eyes darted upwards to spot another figure standing by the window. The figure was oddly familiar. 'Koran?'

Koran jumped straight up in the air and turned, slamming into the window as she did so. One hand flew up to her throat and gripped her necklace, a habit that she shared with her brother as she gave a strangled gasp that could be called a very quiet shriek. She squinted into the shadows by the door, trying to will her heart to stop thudding so fast in her chest. “Remus?” she inquired, now feeling foolish. Peeves didn’t politely inquire your name; Peeves came out of nowhere and yanked your noise or yelled in your ear. “I’m, I’m sorry… I was just hoping that Peeves didn’t come and then you came in and said my name…” she trailed off stupidly, refraining from smacking herself in the head. Wow. She was freaking brilliant tonight yes? She came away from the window then and walked toward Remus and the door. “Couldn’t sleep?” she asked, even though it wasn’t much of a question, more of a confirmation. No. He was wandering the hall at God knows what hour because he wanted the fresh air. And after all, insomnia seemed to be one of the more joyful side effects of school and homework. Oi. Absently, she braided her wet hair and then looped it up in a bun, grateful to get the cold water off her neck. It would be curly in the morning, but she didn’t much care. She normally just tied it back anyway… and her hair barely behaved when it was dry. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with it tonight. She studied him from under her bangs as she worked. She hadn’t really known him before this year, except by sight in the halls or the common room at night. But when she had become a prefect, he had helped her during the first few weeks a lot and had done rounds with her… that had been a blessing. There had been a couple of times where some trouble makers would have sneered at her alone, but had balked when they saw the older, taller sixth year. Now though, she was doing okay… they had figured out she had an older brother and could easily defend herself against him, much less a punk fourth year. At the thought of her brother, she was reminded of the tension in the common room and well… everywhere else and blew out a sigh. Life was complicated. When did that happen? She had a good friend in Remus, she knew that and that he wasn’t as bad as her brother made him out to be… but Kavic was her brother and not as much of a dolt as Remus made him out to be sometimes. Again. When did life get so complicated? She shook her head to clear the unpleasant thoughts. “What time is it?” she asked Remus, trying to make some sort of conversation and because she was honestly curious.

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Ah, so it was Koran. His slightly strict frame relaxed itself. Koran was a friend, not foe. But, in the light, one couldn't be sure just from sight. Until of course, he watched her closely. Although Koran was a year younger, he'd met her before, a while back on one of his prefect rounds. Shown her the ropes a bit. He hadn't even known then that she was Kavic Elliot's little sister. But he sure knew now. Kavic had made sure of that. It was pretty annoying too. In his eyes, Koran and him were just friends. And she was a sweet kid. Someone he could trust, even if not with all his most important secrets.
And oops. He'd frightened her. This was very apparent what with her gasp, and jump. His bad. He'd forgotten that it was the middle of the night, and that mysterious voices that came out of nowhere weren't exactly welcomed. 'Sorry. My fault.' He murmured quietly, trying to comfort her. At her question, he shrugged just slightly, and tilted his head to the side. 'Something like that' He said with a half-smile. It was as if he was enjoying some sort of private joke, as his mind wandered to the reason for his sleepless nights. Baby. Girlfriend. Secrets. All wrapped into one with an outlining of silver...like a full moon.
'You two eh?' He assumed before his thoughts could take over too much. Maybe sleep deprivation was going around. Like a bad cold or something. Why else would she be out and about in the middle of the night? Considering they were in a washroom, Remus could see the possiblities, and suddenly realized that there were probably other reasons she was here besides the need to wander the school from a restless night. At her next response, Remus made to check his watch, lifting his arm out and pulling up the sleeves, only to realize that he hadn't worn his watch that day. 'It's...late. I've forgotten my watch.' He concluded smiling slightly, as he brought his arm down in defeat.
'Shouldn't you be in bed?' He asked her lightly. Not that he was about to scold her for being up. Remus himself wasn't supposed to be up right now, so where would he get off playing the hypocrite?

Koran shook her head, sending the stray droplets of water everywhere. “No, its fine.”
She made a face. “I need to be less jumpy.” She laughed a little. “And maybe not being out and about at oh-dark-thirty may help with that.” She made another face. “Prefect rounds took for-ev-er to finish,”She said, drawing out the word. “And I had magical creatures and herbology today. I needed to take a shower.” she grinned and laughed. "And I enjoyed the hot water a wee to much though… so partly my fault, partly not.” But still, it had felt good to get rid of the smell of sweat and that rich, earthy smell that animals gave off, even though she loved the latter. It reminded her off the stables, and home. And oh it made her want to be home… she always got homesick about this time of year. Sick for the fields and the woods nearby, and the freedom to saddle Strider and just ride for hours and explore (even though she knew every path and every tree… not that stopped her). She loved Care of Magical Creatures, but it made all the more homesick when she remembered her ‘creature’ at home, as muggle and normal (even though in her eyes, he wasn’t normal, he was as special as any of the unicorns or other magic creatures they had studied) “Very late.” She added on with a slight grimace. Getting up would be fun in the morning. Thank God History of Magic was her first class… she was already ahead of the class in the book, so it wouldn’t be to big of a loss if she slept through it like so many of her classmates, or even slept in. (What could she say? She liked history.) But then she remembered the prefect badge and sighed a little. Oh yeah… Koran raised her eyebrows. “Shouldn’t you?”
she retorted, smiling a little. It was the little sister in her. She had to say something back… and if she had the sense not to say it (a skill her brother lacked), then she at least had several retorts on hand for her use. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Remus nodded sideways as if he was considering her statements. Yeah. That would probably help. You jumped like I was the boogeyman or something' He said with a short grin. Raising his eyebrows as she stated her classes that day, he grimaced. 'What kind of timetable is that? That's horrible.' He said in agreement. Gah, and then she had prefect rounds. Even through Remus' own problems, he could still find himself feeling sorry for Koran. Personally, he had always hated Care of Magical Creatures the most out of all his classes. Being a magical creature himself was bad enough without having to study them too. He had dropped that class as soon as he could. Annoying and pointless in his opinion.
When she returned his own question back at him, he opened his mouth, mockingly offended. He chuckled quietly. Well she had a point. 'Touche.' He said nodding as he leaned back against the wall, relaxing now that he knew there weren't any problems. Koran was easy to be normal with. Even if he wasn't exactly normal. Ripping into a werewolf once a month, and with a baby-wolf on the way, there was probably nothing normal besides his appearance. Well the one he was by day. Ha. Baby-wolf. Maybe it would be like a cub? And cue the internal sudders.
Pointing at the badge on his chest, he spoke again. 'Well, I've got a reason to be out. I'm uh...finishing my rounds.' He said matter-of-factly. As if this sentence was true.

She tipped her head back and laughed. "Yes, a boogeyman named Remus Lupin. No wonder Kav is so wary of you."
Immeditely she snapped her mouth shut, feeling a little stupid. That was smart, neither of them liked each other much... that was easy to see, and unluckily enough (for her at least) one was her brother and the other was on the way to being a good friend. She glanced up through her bangs to judge his reaction. She grinned. "I like Care," she pointed out. "And Herbology is interesting... I mean, where else do plants try to kill you?" she giggled. One of them had wrapped around her leg and pulled her down before she realized it that class. Besides being startled and getting a skinned knee (and enduring her classmates giggles for the rest of the class) she had gotten out of relatively unscathed. Oh well. If class didn't keep you on your toes, it was a waste of time right? (Ha. Right.) "But it is a bit of a grueling schedule when you have rounds afterwards." She raised her eyebrows. "Right... well, you better hurry up there bud, rounds started like... two hours hours ago? And ended like... thirty minutes ago?" she grinned. "Maybe if you walk really fast, you'll be done soon." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Remus bit his lip back from laughing. Kavic was wary about him? What did he have to be wary about? He fought back an eye roll. He didn't want to be impolite to Kavic right now. Not when he was in the company of his little sister. It was kind of strange that she'd turned out alright when her brother was so...annoying. But she didn't seem like the type to go into a rant about her brother infront of Remus by the way she closed her mouth after making that comment. Family loyalty? Remus wouldn't know. He had a family of course, but his had been a little distant since his transformations began. 'Kavic? Wary of me? Whatever is there to be wary about?' He joked innocently.
Like that was even a possiblity to relate to Remus Lupin. He was a monster though. He knew that. Of course people should be wary. Should be frightened. He had always found it completely mind-bogling that the Mauraders hadn't run away screaming when they had found out. Instead, they'd done the exact opposite. They'd run with him. Each with another identy. It was almost amazing that Remus carried so many secrets around with him without dropping one by accident honestly. His best friends were illegal animagi, his girlfriend was pregnant, he was a werewolf, the unborn kid could possibly be a werewolf too, he didn't like Kavic Elliot because he'd seen him ki--...well, the last one wasn't that big of a secret. And he wouldn't finish that sentence, even to himself.
He raised his eyebrows at her, before he spoke again. 'I guess you've got a point there.' He said with a grin. Where else do plants try to kill you. Well, he couldn't think of another location, so he'd give her that one. He nodded in agreement when she spoke of it being a grueling schedule. If Remus himself didn't know that he could keep up with a lot of things, he'd probably have said he didn't know how she managed to do it. But, compared to his own schedule, she had it easy. Although, Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures with prefect rounds afterwards had to suck.
At her next reply, he couldn't help but laugh quietly. Funny girl. 'I've only got a bit more to go, so I won't stay for to long. Don't want to miss curfew' He said, knowing fully well that curfew was even more hours before that.

Koran smiled blandly. Yup, he had caught that slip of the tongue... and the tell tale way she had shut her mouth. You would only need to be deaf and blind not too. "Oh, I wouldn't know,"
she shrugged. "But really, who knows with my brother? I certainly don't." She laughed again. Yeah. Right. As if he didn't tell her almost everything that was on her mind and vice versa. That was a smooth and totally non-transparent white lie. She ran her hand through her wet hair again, looking at the tiled floor. This was all very strange. It was midnight, or later judging by the light outside the window, and she was alone (in the bathroom no less) with a boy she had crushed on since the beginning of the year.... and who her brother disliked. Throughly. Not an awkward situation at all, not even adding in the fact that he had a girlfriend who he obviously adored. Life was tough. It would figure that when she liked someone that it was someone her brother hated. Go figure. But she didn't like him like him. This was just a crush. Girls got them. Especially on older boys. Especially older attractive boys. She blew out a sigh. Hormones sucked. Realizing that he was talking, she looked up at him and then laughed again. "Walk fast," she said again, with a small smile. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Remus shrugged absentmindedly, smiling just slightly. Well, he wasn't going to push the subject of Kavic. Who knew? Maybe the two of them weren't even that close in the first place, so Kavic never told her about their uh..tension. Perhaps Remus had always just assumed they were close, because he saw them together a lot. But that didn't necessarily mean they told each other everything though he guessed. He wouldn't know though. He didn't have any siblings. He'd always wanted one though, until he was bitten that is. Now however, he guessed it was better that his parents had stopped with him. He was probably enough of a hassel as it was, and besides what if the werewolf that had bit him, had decided to keep going?
'True I guess.' He murmured nodding along in agreement. His thoughts leaving Kavic Elliot for the time being. Thoughts of that boy always irritated him, and he was feeling calm at the moment, so there was no real reason to change that was there? He was slightly curious as too how much Kavic had shared with his sister however. Remus knew that Kavic knew all about the pregnancy--Kyndrick had told him, not Remus obviously. Did Koran know about Remus' huge mistake aswell? Embarrassing. He hoped he was wrong on that account though, even as his cheeks turned a slight shade of rose at the thought. It wasn't exactly something Remus wanted to broadcast. Especially, if her finding out might also equal into finding out about Remus' other little secret.
'They'd never catch me' He said, feeling slightly like he was the gingerbread man as he said it, which caused a grin to appear on his face. 'So, how's it been going anyway? It's been a while hasn't it?' He asked absentmindedly, looking across the washroom to her.

"I don't know,"
she said in mock seriousness, "I've heard Flitwick can be pretty speedy." She shrugged her shoulders, idly hitching them so the bag on her bag settled more comfortably. "This and that... studying." She made a little face. "All the teachers decided to give us more homework, 'cause of OWLS." she said grimly. "So.. alot of studying." She was quiet for a moment before confessing, "And I've been missing home." She looked away from him, out towards the window before looking back to Remus with a wistful smile. "Care makes me miss my creature, back at home... well," she added on, laughing. " 'sides Kavic anyways." She stopped talking, feeling suddenly foolish. She knew that alot of her classmates didn't understand her missing her horses, or the plain muggle town she lived... even when she knew that they had families and pets of their own. But it was different. She missed the freedom of being able to saddle up whenever, go wherever without a care in the world. She loved Hogwarts, of course she did... who couldn't? But there was a magic in her home that she could never recreate here. "I'm sorry," she said. "I'm being silly." Her hand went to her cross at her throat, pulling the chain and charm thoughtfully. "So how are you?" she asked, trying to get the subject off of her and her silly bout of homesickness. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight At the image of the tiny Charms professor racing after Remus in the corridors, Remus laughed out loud. Now that would have been a sight too see. He could just imagine Professor Flitwick's tiny legs attempting to carry him faster. Poor guy would probably trip over his own two stumps. 'I think I can take him.' He assured her with a grin. 'It's Professor McGonagall I'm worried about' He added as an afterthought. It was true that the Transfiguration teacher would no doubt arise more fear from Remus Lupin, a full grown 16 year old wizard, then Professor Flitwick. Professor McGonagall was tall.
He grimaced along with her at the mention of having to study for OWLs. He remembered his all too well. But, even in his sixth year, having finished preparing for his OWLs, they started bringing up NEWTs. So basically, it was finish one nightmare only to enter another one. Well, at least he had a year to screw around inbetween. Or...maybe that was worded wrong. 'Been there, done that. It sucks.' He said truthfully. 'You decided on what your gonna do after Hogwarts yet?' He added curiously. Personally, he didn't have a clue. But, in his case, it was more what profession would take him then what he wanted to do after school. Huh, he probably ought to think of one soon if he would graduate in a year right? Great. Just another thing to worry about.
'Homesick?' He stated raising his eyebrows in achknowledgement. He wouldn't know. His home was always just a tad bit too boring for his taste. And a little awkward too. His parents and him didn't talk much. Remus wondered vagily what Koran's homelife was like. Probably funner then his if she could miss it while being at Hogwarts. 'Cool. What kind of creature do you have?' He wondered outloud. Ha...she called Kavic a creature. This made Remus hide a wide grin by biting his tongue. He shook his head when she called herself silly however. 'No not silly...just normal' He assured her. Ha, normal. That would probably explain why Remus didn't get homesick a lot. He wasn't normal in any sense.
"So how are you?"
Such a common question, and Remus sure had a lot of answers for her. But, so as to not overwhelm her with his many 'issues', he said the simplest one. 'I'm...you know, alright I guess.' He said with a shrug, though he was laughing inside at how untruthful that line was.

She grinned at the image as well, seeing a mental image of McGongall in her red velvet bathrobe determindly striding down the halls in her golden houseslippers, glasses crooked, hair out of its bun. The image nearly made her laugh aloud, she had to cover her mouth to supress. "Oh aye,"
she managed. "She'd probably turn you into something big and furry, like a dog." She did laugh aloud at that. "That would be something to explain to explain to your roomates." This time, she had the sense to not add her brother in the mix. She shrugged. "Has to be done, right?" she said lightly before shaking her head. "Not really, maybe with something with the Department of Magical Creatures. Or a healer. But... I don't really know yet." She didn't mention her own dream of when she was a first year, of training horses for pleasure and maybe for work. That more the musings of a little girl... probably not applicable to real life. Why ride when you could apparte or ride a broomstick, or use a draft to pull stumps and break snow drifts when you had a wand at your disposal? Her smile was shy, and she looked to the floor. "Horses." She confessed. "We have three... a shire, a welsh cob, and a connemara. The connemara is mine... his name is Strider." She glanced through her bangs to make sure that Lupin wasn't looking at her like she was mad. "I ride a lot, in the summer... sometimes in the winter. Not as much though, 'cause of the ice." She shuddered at the thought. Thank god she hadn't lost a horse to snow drifts or ice... a friend of hers had, which terrified her still. Her friend's mount had slipped on a icy spot, fell and broke its leg and had to be put down. Her friend had a broken arm and broken confidence... she hardly ever got in the saddle anymore, and only in the summer. The worst Koran had dealt with was the shire, Destrier, he had slid on the ice and nearly threw her. The big, gentle horse had walked sideways a few steps so she could try to regain her seat until she finally gave up and fell in the snow. After that, he had swung his head around and snuffled her all over as she laughed in shock, as if asking 'Are you okay?'. She shuddered again, trying to banish the memory. "No, not in the winter." She repeated, nodding. "And yeah... I get homesick about now... I miss being able to ride, even though I usually stick to the stableyard, or the driveway." She grinned again as she explained, "The shire is good for breaking the drifts. But, it would be awkward to bring them on the Hogwarts Express." Koran tilted her head a little, but didn't say anything in reply. She knew a little about guys and when they were withholding the truth... or at least she could almost always call when Kavic was lying to her. But it wasn't her place to point out that she didn't think he was telling the entire truth... they were friends. It wasn't like he was her secret keeper or vice-versa. [/blockquote][/blockquote] [ooc; sorry for the crappyness :/]

Stayed awake all night tossing, turningNow my blood shot eyes are burningWorkin' out why this ain't workingFight after fight after fight Remus grinned, laughing at the irony of Koran's sentence. Little did she know that he didn't need Professor McGonagall to turn into a big furry dog. He just had to wait for a full moon. But he wasn't so keen to fill her in on that important aspect of his life. He hadn't even told his pregnant girlfriend yet. He imagined coming home in his wolf form to the shock of his roommates and looked away to hide his distaste. That would be dangerous. The reason he had to run off to the Shrieking Shack to hide and rip himself apart. As much as he didn't like Kavic, he knew he would never even think of doing such a thing. It was naseating to think about. But Koran was speaking again, the perfect distraction. Schoolwork.
So she was into creatures, healing and all that? That was pretty interesting. Not exactly Remus' thing, but it was an interesting choice. He could definitely see Koran as a healer after Hogwarts. She just seemed like that type you know? Department of Magical Creatures sounded cool too if you were into that kind of stuff. It seemed like both these two options would lead him to visit her after school when they had both graduated apparantly, and this thought was amusing. 'You've got time though. I still have no clue either and I've only got a year left' He said with a shrug. Personally, he'd always had this crazy dream of owning a book shop. Maybe he was just a bit of a nerd...
He watched her answers, leaving her the quiet moment since she seemed to be a little lost in thought. He didn't want to interupt her musings. He had no idea what a shire, welsh cob or connemara having never heard any of the words before, but he was guessing, by the content of her sentences, they were types of horses. So she rode horses at home? Did she live on a farm? Cool. That was definitely better then Remus' home life then. He just had a boring old appartment with his parents. Not even any annoying siblings to keep the place alive. 'So you ride?' He asked, feeling very Captain Obvious. 'Are you any good?
Remus laughed at her last words, grinning. 'Probably' He said with a nod.

"I do need to have some idea,"
Koran pointed out, "So I know what O.W.L.S I need to pass, and what N.E.W.T classes to take, but no, not really a rush. After all," she added bitterly. "There may not be a ministry that accepts muggle borns when I get out of school." She winced inwardly a little at her words, way to go happy miss sunshine. "I'm sorry, that was rude of me." Happy to get back to a subject she knew, she nodded. "Yeah, I ride... and I'm fairly good, I suppose. I've never competed before, but I've been learning since I was a little girl and I can do bareback and jumping and stuff." Not to mention jumping while bareback, but she decided to leave that one out. That had only happened a few times and never on purpose. [/blockquote][/blockquote] [ooc; ....and I apologize for the lateness and the crapiness of this. xD please forgive
