&& Let the wings fly back
12:00 am, her watch read and Serenity was in the living room, cuddled up on a couch while she read "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" by Newt Scamadar. Her goal during the winter break was to find out what the Logan family are, and she was only on the creatures that started with the letter F. "This is going to take a long time, about a million pages more to go." She whispered to herself and sighed, followed up by a little yawn of boredom. An hour passed and she was still on F.
Giving up, she put away the book on the coffee table beside her. Serenity hugged her knees and rested her head on them, she yawned, she was tired from a long but fun day. She wore a long brown skirt that went a little below her knees in length and on top of that she wore a plain yellow shirt. Her hair was put up in a neat ponytail, plain but pretty she would call it. Her silver bracelet was dangling from her wrist, she took it off and put it on the coffee table. Serenity wanted to go to the guest bedroom and sleep there, but she was too tired to get up and go.
How silent the place seemed to her at the moment. It helped her think of the memories she has from this place. Lily, Alice and her playing and talking into the night. Rosalie upsetting Serenity in some bizarre way. The flying races Hayden and Serenity would have and sometimes accompanied by Alice. It was curious to her how time seems to pass by when she was having fun, it seemed almost unfair. The memories made her realize that only now Hayden and Serenity are talking more then in their previous years, it was surprising to her. Probably because of the whole incident in the dungeon.
Out of the blue, the memory of Lily and Severus appeared in her head. Why would they even... Why would Lily even think about kissing him, a slytherin, a jerk like him?!?! Why in the world would Severus even hang out with a gryffindor in the first place?! What about James..... This is weird, this is absurd, as if I just skipped a hundred pages in a book. There were all sorts of questions that she wanted to be answered. For a while there she forgot about this event and wanted to keep it that way, but now out of nowhere she remembered it. Serenity wanted to talk to Alice what has happened between them. There was a lot troubling her this night.

&& hey doll, what's on your mind...
Alice peeked into the living room in a very subtle fashion. Ren was still reading. Ace had just spoken with Frank who was conveniently upstairs. Why had Hayden decided to slip out for the night? Alice knew very well that he knew he shouldn't be there while Serenity was sleeping over. There was just something, off, about it all.
Alice sighed. Frank had told her Ren was unsettled. She knew what was coming. She wished Serenity would just come out and say it. Frank said that Serenity was tense, worried, confused. Alice had seen Serenity telling her what she'd seen. Maybe it really was time to tell Ren that Ace was particularly good at Divination class for a reason. Hey, Serenity Faywood had been one of Alice's dearest and best friends since their early years at Hogwarts. She thought the girl deserved to know by now. It was only fair.
She slipped into the living room silently as Renity put the book down and wore her look of confusion. Alice absently placed a bowl of popcorn and a soda on the table for her friend. Serenity and Lily both knew Alice never ate or drank anything. They also knew that if they stayed for any prolonged amount of time, all the Logan and Longbottoms left for a day or two without warning as if it were completely normal. Ace smiled. Serenity was far from stupid, she'd figure out what the strange family was in time.
She came to sit beside Ren. "What's on your mind hun?" She asked brightly. She put on a smile as if she had no idea what Serenity Faywood was planning on telling her. Alice's bits on insight were a gift that she knew how to shelter. She could pretend she wasn't about to hear about Severus and Lily. She could also pretend she didn't know many things. Except, maybe tonight was the night Ren would learn the reasons why.

&& Finding Things They Never Found...
Serenity raised her head and blinked a few times. She felt as if she had fallen asleep even though Serenity didn't. "Hey, Ace....," she said quietly and biting her lip. Serenity didn't know if she should tell Alice or not, she didn't want Alice to be worried with this. Then again she is her best friend and Serenity didn't want to hide anything from her. What if, by any chance, Alice already knew the reason why Lils and Severus kissed? That would be extremely helpful.
Just tell her already! There is nothing wrong with it. Plus she is probably sick of waiting for an answer by now! Her mind was telling her mouth for a sound from it already. "That night at the yule ball... I walked to the astronomy tower just to see something pretty before I went to bed. Though I heard voices and I wanted to see who was there, so I hid but I could still see the people there and the only thing I saw was them kissing but... T-the p-people w-were...... L-Lils and S-S-Severus..." Serenity took a deep breath, she was shaking all over. "It worries me, I thought Lily hated Severus and he felt the same way too. It's... weird, I just never expected this sort of thing from her..... or him."
There was one other thing that was bothering her but left out. Serenity wanted to figure this out by herself, yet there was a huge urge just to ask her and now would be a good time. She bit her lip once more and sighed. Oh what are you Alice? If only I knew, it would be so much easier. Why is it so bad that you have to hide it? Sometimes she wished Alice can read her mind, so she wouldn't have to go through a hard time. She looked at the untouched food Alice brought on the table then looked at the book which she used to research with.
