Marauding Mysteries! Plot
quick plot;; Who's heart is pure in this land of the wicked? Who's smile still grins whilst a war rages forward? Four 16-year-old boys, a sparklingly blue-eyed headmaster, a red-haired girl, and about a million supporters stand against the future that they know will change them all forever. Could the one referred to as "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" really be taking rule over the wizarding world? Or will these fierce young wizards take part in what lies ahead? More importantly, what are all of the little marauding mysteries occurring behind the smoke and mirrors of this adventurous new world. Only you can discover the secrets at Marauding Mysteries!
-------------------------------------
basic facts;; Welcome to the highly interactive Harry Potter role-play game, Marauding Mysteries. This is a site for all ages in the Wizarding World and beyond. Muggles are welcome as well. The plot takes place during what is referred to as the Marauding Era of Harry Potter. Students are encouraged to join in classes and plots as well as quidditch and house tournaments and school-wide events. Teachers will teach their classes and give out house points. Heads of Houses will give out points, teach classes, and manage their house. Ministry workers will actively participate in their departments and St. Mungo's Healers will actively heal their patients. There is also a war on the rise so, Order members and Death Eaters will participate in their meetings, battles, and debates. Much controversy will surround each of these key elements as each goes into play at the same time. All the while, role-players must keep the cool of their realistic characters. Some of these characters are just kids after all. Children are also encouraged as characters. Even though they may not attend any Hogwarts related role-plays, they may interact in their given worlds. Marauding Mysteries is about as close as you can get to the wizarding world.
-------------------------------------
plot;; Alas, the Hogwarts years! Dueling in the courtyard between classes, procrastinating on potions homework, throwing fanged frisbees through Filch's open window, dangling old pumpkin bread over the giant squid and then running away from the lake's shore before being mauled by the beast, good times! The life of the Hogwarts student can be both trivial and complicated at the same time as students juggle schoolwork, drama, the vastly unexplained world of love, and a war on the rise. How are students supposed to pay attention in Herbology class when they're worried that their parents might be dead in St. Mungo's that very moment? Or worse yet, they might get pulled out of school for fear of lack of safety! What a Hogwartian to do!
Well, for starters, students are taking sides. How can they not? Half of the Slytherin students have parents who are openly stating their alliance with the Death Eaters. Gryffindors would hop in front of the Hogwarts Express before they let anyone say they'd join the Dark side. Even the Ravenclaw students take alliance with The Order of the Phoenix more often than The Dark Lord. People are being torn between friends, family, and life's strangest bonds. How will these students cope with what lies ahead?
Amongst all this chaos are four boys, commonly know as the marauders, and their friends. There's James Potter, the obvious leader of the group and one of the main players in the active effort to get students involved with The Order. Next comes Sirius Black, the jokester. He may seem like he doesn't take anything seriously, but as soon as James gets that look on his face, Sirius is right beside him. Third is Remus Lupin, the werewolf. Remus may seem dangerous, but his heart is definitely in the right place. Remus has more wisdom than all the marauder's added together. Last is Peter Pettigrew, the least popular of the marauders. Peter has something so desperate about him. It seems like he may take any side just to be on the winning team. No one knows what to really say for Peter other than, they'll never know which alliance he'll choose.
The outsiders include both friends and enemies. Lily Evans has James Potter's heart and yet, she seems to be best friends with Remus Lupin. Frank longbottom and Alice Logan, longtime couple, have always been casual friends of James, Sirius, and Remus. Neither have ever taken a liking to Peter however. A certain Severus Snape remains an enemy of the marauders since their childhood. Snape and Lily have something the marauders may never know about though. And what about the rest of the Black family? Bellatrix is in her final year and hates her cousin Sirius with a passion. Narcissa is so obviously Slytherin that it would be impossible for her to even think of alliance with the order. And Andromeda Black is the complicated one. She wears this fake smile with her sisters and dances to the beat of the Slytherin way. There's something too odd about her though. Is she secretly friends with Miss Evans and Miss Logan? Who knows?
What about all the other key players as well? The Minister is in denial of the coming war and Headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, is doing whatever it takes to prepare for the fights ahead. The professors of Hogwarts are taking sides along with their students and it seems a hard thing to mask. St. Mungo's gets new patients each day due to strange new accidents and far too many lives are being lost far too regularly. Will the entire wizarding world separate their differences and work together or will the war tare them all apart?
How does this all fit in with Hogwarts? Well, along the way, students are learning of each and every little marauding mystery that will help them fight in the war. Each time Hogwarts teaches them something new, they refer to it as, "Another Marauding Mystery solved." How many mysteries will it take? How many secrets does Hogwarts have? Who will help along the way? What exactly are all of Hogwarts' many Marauding Mysteries?
