Kavic smiled at Lily, despite the faze of the alcohol. Lily always made him smile, even when he was out of it. "Hey Lils."
he said, noticing Koran drift back over and stand with Lily. Not surprising. Koran would seek out the few non-drinkers to be with. Probably thought they wouldn't eat or something. He noticed Koran making a face at him and realized he was smirking... Koran probably guessed the line of thought. (She did.) "Nothing much." He said mildly. "This and that. I think a fight started, but I don't know what came of it. And no, no fires... yet." He scooted over on his seat, poor boy never seemed to get his couch for very long. "Wanna seat?" he offered. Koran walked off for a moment and grabbed a bottle of butterbeer before coming back, wordlessly holding to her brother. He laughed, set his bottle down, and opened hers. Koran took it back with a grateful smile and sat on the arm next to him, drinking quietly, enjoying the warmth of the drink.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Lily smiled, Kavic was always a nice guy. Koran was quiet, but Lily saw such a nice nature about her. The Elliot siblings were always good company. "A fight? Well, I suppose things like that happen at parties." She sighed, hoping no one was hurt. She kept her wand a little closer, knowing she may need it should trouble arise. She smiled when he offered her a seat. "Thanks." She smiled and sat down.
She looked around at the wild dancing and the drinking happening there. Lily was too mellow for this sort for scene. She didn't think less of any of the people out there, she just knew she wasn't partaking in the same things. She turned to Koran and smiled. "To think, these are our Prefect duties of the night." She smiled. It was all too easy. "Has anyone seen Remus or James or anyone else? I know the common room was nearly empty when I left." Lily acknowledged the quiet castle she'd left behind.
"Well, apparently I fail at the art of the party. Any advice for me? What are we supposed to do to have fun?" She asked, feeling rather geeky and awkward suddenly. She felt very in her persona of the goody-two-shoes people had made her out to be. Lily meant good, she was here to find her friends. She merely had no idea where those friends might be. She hadn't seen Alice all night and wondered if her friend had mixed into the crowd. Serenity was possibly with Hayden? Lily sighed, she had no idea what to think.

Kavic laughed, for real this time. "Teenagers plus alcohol. I'm surprised that forest hasn't caught flame yet." Kavic shifted in his seat to give her more room. "No problem." he said, smiling at her. He'd always liked Lily. She was just... nice. She seemed to take time to make sure everyone was alright, and didn't mind stopping to chat. Kavic liked that about her, he feeling she didn't mind taking the time out of her day to make sure everyone was all right. He suspected that was why Koran had graviated so strongly to Lily as well.
Koran leaned forward to grin at Lily. "Aye. I really hope I don't see anything to horrible... I don't fancy having to tell one of the seventh years off." She shuddered at the thought of it, but then laughed. "But then again, I could always have Kav do it for me." She bumped her brother with her elbow gently. "D'you really wanna be an only child that badly?" he asked dryly, making his sister laugh aloud. Koran shook her head. "No. Haven't seen any of them yet, which might be why the forest is burning." she pointed out. "I saw Remus earlier, but not since then." Kavic interjected, Koran thought his face flushed a little, but was that only the fire light? Kavic laughed, twisting in his seat to look at her. "Why you dance love! And," he swooshed the fire whiskey bottle, "That's why you drink before hand, so you dance all the more without worrying about silly things like whether or not you look silly." "Do you dance then?" Koran asked, curiously. Kavic made a face at his sister. "I do. I'm just not drunk enough yet." "...I thought dancing implied being able to stand up and not be passed out?" "Shut up Corona." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"You're a whore Aericka Thorne! First Malfoy, now Hart! What are you playing at?"
Lucius heard Damon's shouting and looked toward the edge of the forest where he'd disappeared moments before with Aericka and Noah. Slowly, he took another long sip of his drink, then set it down on the table in front of him and stood up, planning on giving Noah a hand. That was when Amoretta came stumbling toward him.
"Hey, Lucius," she said as she sat down beside him.
Sighing, the Slytherin sat down again, wondering why he'd bothered to come to the party at all. 'And why are Gryffindor girls attracted to me all of a sudden? First Faywood in the corridor, then Thorne in the classroom, now it's this one. And Slytherin girls hate me, go figure.'
"Hi," he said, sizing her up. "You know, I think you're the first person to show up here already drunk. I didn't know you were such a partier, Chanell. Can I get you another drink?"

but i wear the BIGGEST smile =)
amoretta rolled her eyes; so much that it seemed they could have popped out of her head right then and there. what a loser. why did she try to talk to this guy anyway? it was common sense that he hated gryffindors with a passion and that he was just retarded. she turned her piercing gaze towards him, seemingly seeing his every thought, or that's what amoretta wanted the git to think. her head throbbed slightly, and amy attempted to ignore it without success. her dainty hand placed itself on the backside of her skull and amoretta wished she had never come in the first place. which might be what half the people here were thinking. well, at least he had enough courtesy to return the 'hi'.
"You know, I think you're the first person to show up here already drunk. I didn't know you were such a partier, Chanell. Can I get you another drink?"
the way he sized her up was highly irritating, but she couldn't put her finger on the reason 'why' yet. "I'm not drunk..." crap! i was going for more of a 'back off you git, unless you want me to punch your face in' but amoretta's brain was too clouded and focused on the throbbing in her head, which worstened each increasing second. she summed up her energy and said sweetly, "no, thanks for your kind thought though." amy put on a big smile, smirking on the inside. oh, it was so fun to confuse the opposite gender.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He raised an eyebrow at her. "Not drunk, eh? Drugs, then? Or do you have some other excuse for why you look like crap?" He smirked a little. It felt good, being a jerk again. His dorm mates were right, he had been becoming way too soft in the last few months.
Lucius frowned as she smiled at him. "Okay, you've got to be on something. I mean, you do realize who you're talking to, don't you? You're being nice to a Slytherin. Don't you have some friends here that you can pester?"
[sorry it's so short]

Lily had to laugh. This was why she enjoyed their company so much. When Kavic and Koran were together, it was twice as funny. She loosened up a bit as their banter made her much more comfortable. "I'll help you guys tell of the big bad seventh years then. I don't think they'll be as mad if it's just a casual suggestion that they don't light the forest afire as opposed to being told not to." Lily smiled. And then came Kavic's suggestion.
"Aw, dancing. And who says you have to be drunk? Come dance with me?" She smiled and stood up. She held her hands out to take their's. Lily was the type who didn't need alcohol in her system to look ridiculous. She knew how to have fun at least.
She spotted Amy afar and the girl looked like she was making Lucius Malfoy annoyed. Lily smiled, the night wouldn't be lost to such petty conflict. "Amy, come dance with us! We'll all be silly Gryffindors together." She called to her as she tried to pull the Elliot siblings off the couch to have some fun.

Kavic was up in a moment at Lily’s suggestion, if he was light headed he didn’t show it. He took one of her offered hands and turned back to his sister who was still sitting on the arm of the couch looking hesitant. “Come on Koran.”
He said, offering his hand to her. She shook her head minutely, but her brother wouldn’t let her get off with that. He stepped away from Lily to reach over and take his sisters arm, hoisting her up to her feet despite her indignant squawk. “I won’t let you get taken away into the forest and eaten or anything like that.” He told her quietly, bringing her over to Lily. She rolled her eyes at him, but allowed him to push her next to Lily as he stepped to her other side, not being able to point out that he was just a little drunk and not one to trust judgment on at all. Kavic grinned and put an arm around Lily’ shoulders. “Oi, come on over Amy!” he joined in, “We’re better company then Malfoy…we actually have manners!” He laughed, but Koran glanced up at him with a slight frown, sensing the possibility for trouble at her brothers words. Lily giggled childishly as she took her friends' hands. She showed off a charming sort of smile in Amy's direction. "Please dear? And mind none of his talk Lucius, he's a little tipsy tonight." Lily eyed Kavic teasingly. She pulled Kav and Kor out onto the dance floor and then let them go. She twirled in a little circle and then took Kavic's hand again to spin once more.
"No worries Koran love, we'll make you have some fun." Lily laughed and took her hand too. She turned to let Koran twirl too. The poor Prefect looked as if she needed a good smile for the record. Lily was having fun. The only thing needed to complete the fun was an appearance by one of her boys. She wished James would show up or at least Sev if not James. That was a foolish thought, to wish Severus would show up at the party. He'd probably die of laughter at seeing Lily make a fool of herself. Wasn't that what friends were for though? Lily wished Amy would come dance with them, she hoped the girl wouldn't get herself into trouble with Lucius.

Koran squeaked a little in surprise when Lily twirled her, and then laughed. Oh if only she could remember the dancing lessons her father gave her when she stood on his feet and twirled over the chancel. Amazing how you forget things right? Especially when you needed to remember them. But as she danced, a little shyly at first, she began to loosen up (although, not the level as as some of the other girls were. Oh jeez, did they not see the couches littered throughout the forest?) and actually begin to have a little fun.
"May I cut in dear?"
Kavic teased, gently taking Lily's hand from Koran. "I'd like to take this dance." he told Lily, grinning. Koran rolled her eyes at her brother. Even with two (or three?) bottles of firewhiskey in him he could still turn on the charm when he wanted. Silly boy. "Go," she said laughing, "Go on, its fine." Koran glanced over her shoulder to see if there was anyone she knew out... the music (to her horror) seemed to be slower, well at least slower then the last song. Lily was surprised by this turn in the night. Suddenly, the mood was changing. She felt a fleeting bit of anxiety as she wondered. Was Kavic asking her to dance because he liked her as more than a friend or just because he was loose and having fun? It was strange because, despite what a great friend Kav was, he wasn't what Lily thought of as a crush. She had too many romantic problems with Sev and James already. Well, one dance couldn't hurt anything, right? One innocent little dance amongst the wild and drunk of Hogwarts? Would she dare step into the world she saw some of the crazier girls step into? Could she have a Kyndrick moment per chance?
"Aw, I suppose I can spare one fair dance Kav." She smiled her small smile. It was a child's sort of smile. It made Lily look a little more innocent. It threw out signals saying she was just here for a good time. She felt him slip into the spot where Koran was and was about to do another fun little twirl when the music transitioned. Was this really happening? The saddest part yet? Lily looked into Kavic's charming expression and for a fleeting moment, all she saw was Severus. All she could see in her mind was her Sev, the laughing, curious Sev she'd always known. She saw her teasing Sev, the one who'd joked with her on the train her first year. She saw the Sev who put up with Alice and Serenity feeling awkward around him just because he wanted to stay close to her. She didn't know why, but a small tear escaped one of those big emerald eyes. Maybe she really did love Severus.
She reached up a gentle palm to brush away the stray tear. She put on a smile for Kavic and danced with him, her hands resting on his shoulders, standing just close enough but not too close. She was very careful in how she held herself, praying she wouldn't give off the wrong impression. Had Kav noticed her stupid tear already? Maybe she was safe.

Kavic seemed to have a talent for finding women with problems this night.
He had made a face at the music, oh this was awkward. He liked Lily sure, but he hadn't intended to dance.. well, dance like this with her. But oh well. It was just one night right? One night to be carefree and ...well, not care which was being carefree was all about? Anyways, he more then a little in the bottle anyways, he could always blame his actions on that. (Even that was oh-so-mature)
But then he looked down at Lily and saw the tear trailing down her face. Immeditly he stopped dancing and looked at her. "Lily?"
he asked, concerned. "Are you..." he stopped. No she was tearing up for sheer joy. "It's not my dancing right? I know its bad but still." He smiled, trying to make a joke. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Oh hush Kav, your dancing is far better than mine." She laughed now. It was one night. One night in a sea of nights that would pass and she'd forget as she grew old. It was one night and she was spending it with a very funny young gentlemen who was nothing like either James or Severus and deserved a little more attention than a tear and hallucination.
"They did change the mood though, didn't they?" She offered as she looked up and made her smile more genuine. "I thought these parties were wild." She winked at him kiddingly. Lily wasn't known for being wild. Maybe a little goofy, maybe a little silly. She was seen as smart or witty. She was seen as a bit sarcastic. She was seen as sweet or innocent. Wild or sexy, not Lily. It was fun to dance with Kavic though. It ripped her out of the box of expectation. She was doing something new and it was very refreshing.
"You're a great dancer though, drunk or not." She leaned up on her tip toes to whisper in his ear with a laughing smile dancing around her expression. She loosened up again and danced a little closer. She wasn't doing any harm. If either James or Severus had seen her in that moment, she was doing nothing either would be ashamed of her for.

He wandered into the clearing with eyes wide. Hayden didn't have the excuse of being drunk to drag him into the forest at that hour. He didn't even eat or drink. He'd asked Alice to come along with him in a search for Serenity at the party. He'd heard that Lily had wandered into the forest and assumed that Ren was somewhere in that crowd. So, he scanned the wildly bobbing heads and didn't spot her's amongst them. He sighed and wandered around the edges of the dancing people's floor.
He stared over, opening his mind to their thoughts. It was half-way amusing to be completely honest. Drunks teens wildly dancing? How was that not an invite to hear them out?
Sex, sex, sex, sex. Gotta have some with her, she's hot, hot, hot, hot." Was one young man's eager thoughts. It was a Ravenclaw fourth-year. Why's he looking that way? Thought a Hufflepuff third-year dancing with him. Weren't they a big young for this party? I need another drink. Thought a Slytherin seventh year somewhere in that crowd. She's so beautiful. That was a Gryffindor who was dancing with Lily. It;s only one night, only one dance. That was definitely Lily Evans. Her mind was louder to Hayden since he'd known her so long. Is that? Uh oh, that was Koran Elliot! She'd spotted him! Where was she?
Hayden scanned the crowd on a new hunt this time. Where was Koran and what was she doing? He searched for her, wondering if he'd done anything to offend her now.

She stood beside Hayden with her graceful look. A light, upbeat smile rested on her lips. The excitement surrounding them left her looking more energetic. Alice Logan stared out into the crowd of people. She watched as Hayden searched and she wodnered who was here that she could talk to. She spotted Lily with Kavic and laughed. The pair was fun enough for a little night's amusement. She watched Hayden think and listen. That was when she began to see.
"Get away from me!" Those were the words that left Koran Elliot's unmistakable tone in Alice's vision. She saw the terror rise in the girl's face. There was something dangerously wrong there.
The vision left her and Alice realized she'd been staring at nothing. She would have looked like a fool if people weren't so sued to seeing her that way. "Be careful." She murmured to her brother as she watched him wander into the crowd in search of what she was sure would be Koran.
